Dogs' Best Friend Rescue Association Dog rescue, rehabilitation and homing/adoption Association providing shelter to street dogs of Ratcha This will allow for a more appropriate family placement.

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome stray dogs in Thailand. The association will work within the greater community to educate safe and respected practices of animal care and shelter to ensure that every stray feels safe, respected, and loved. The rescued dogs will receive a wellness check, treatment, training and placed for adoption when suitable. Foster homes will be utilized for ho

use training and human interaction/adaption. Adopters will undergo a strict screening process and training in responsible animal care. For those that cannot be rehomed, a stable environment will be available to those that need at the shelter. Each animal in our care will be sterilized before rehoming to ensure the population of street animals is restricted. Our vision is to assist the local community in operating mobile sterilization clinics and wellness checks enabling access to any demographic. The hope is to be able to provide support for struggling shelters in Thailand once Dogs Best Friend is financially secure.

The dogs still love me and still treat me like I'm their favourite lollipop🙄
I haven't told them the bad news yet, that our regular chicken delivery isn't coming this week (due to Songkran).
Thanks to everyone for the donations that covers food and wages for the workers but due to no food coming this week, means I have to make a trip into the city and get chicken from Makro which will cost a lot more than what we normally pay.
We need an extra 3000 baht to buy enough to get us through.
Please can I ask for help to cover this unexpected extra

Today is Monday. Today I have paid wages, bought the weeks supply of food, ice for keeping chicken cool and I still need to pay the power bill. On Wednesday, we have four pups booked in to be spayed. It's raining quite heavily this evening too and one run needs a sala built urgently to protect the dogs.
Please help us out. It's not like we don't have enough work, but finance is running short

We have so many costs and donations are never enough to cover everything. We have wages and powerbill coming up too. Dogs hiding from the sun.... Not too hot today but they are used to the cool.
Thank you to those who contributed towards wages and powerbill.
We are still a little short for covering the cost of our fortnightly meat delivery.
700kg of ground chicken is arriving on Thursday. The cost is 4900 baht which is a very sustainable, and healthy option for feeding the dogs once mixed with rice, veges and other suppliments.
As you can see the dogs are in good shape and doing well

I am really beginning to wonder what I can do.
I have the powerbill, salary, dogfood and bravecto to get and only 1600 baht has come in. I know many rescues are having the same problem, and it's just not fair on the animals that have already been rescued and even less fair on the animals that won't have any chance of being rescued because of lack of funds.
What can I do? I can only hope and pray 🙏🙏 that someone will take it seriously and help out. This is not for me but for the dogs in our care.

We still have the power bill to pay. Charcoal, at the moment is very hard to get but one shop I use rang me saying they had 10 sacks.... I instantly said I'll take the lot without thinking and raced to get it. I'm desperately trying to get some young dogs spayed before they get too big.
Please help us pay the powerbill and get the dogs spayed

This week we have a load of chicken coming as well as we need dry dogkibble and rice. The power bill will come on Tuesday and the wages have to be paid on Wednesday. Talk about trouble!!

Now that I'm back to "working" (as much as I can), there's plenty to do.
Firstly I need to get Fraggles fur cut and get the last few dogs spayed. We will need another load of chicken again, rice and dry food is always needed to be bought. The power bill will be coming soon and wages need to be paid.

Since the 19th of October has been a dreadful time for me.
Sofar I had a heart attack, I've had to organize and run the shelter from my hospital bed as well as my bed at home.
I've had a total change in my life!! Total change in what I can do, lift, walk, eat. It has been a real nightmare trying to exercise and build up my strength.
Since then I have ordered a total of:-
3500 kg of chicken,
24500 baht
1500kg of rice
@27360 baht
700 kg of kibble
@20160 baht
70 bags of Charcoal
@12600 baht
That's a total of 84620 baht plus meds, power and salary for workers.
Add to that
Hospital costs
130,000
New ( to me) truck
85000
Shelter Rent
100,000
The grand total comes to 399,620
That's a LOT of money that I just don't normally have.
I have been away from Facebook a lot due to being sick. There's a load of chicken coming tonight (4900 baht) and salary (8500 baht) in 4 days please can someone help with that?
I bow down to the village that has helped Soo much over the past few months. I could never have got through this problem without your help.
If somebody could help with salary and dogfood for the end of the year it would help so much.

My Apple, the little rag doll Chihuahua. She has had ongoing skin problems for months. She was under the care of a specialist at Kasetsart vet hospital. The skin problem was getting better, but then I could no longer afford to get her treated at Kasetsart due to lack of donations.
I had a heart attack which put an end to treatment for a few weeks and she has got worse. Am treating her with Colloidal silver, but she needs extra meds like Apoquel and antibiotics.
Please help Apple get better.

Our rescue vehicle is no longer on the road. It has reached its final days. It has been an awesome vehicle to say the least and has carried so much.
It needs to be replaced with another vehicle, whatever money can buy. I'm m not greedy, I don't need new like so many others do, I just need something that's reliable and can carry some dogs in comfort.

My old banger. 1998 vintage, 2.8 diesel, 439,323 km driven. It is the end of the road for you my best friend. On the thirtieth, registration expires for the last time.
This leaves Dogs Best Friend Rescue without a vehicle. Can no longer buy rice, dryfood, charcoal, or ice. Can't go to the vets when a dog is sick or injured, can't go into town to buy parts needed to repair things.
It is a big problem. If anyone has an old but good car, van or pickup, no matter make or model....or even a good motor they would be willing to donate or sell at a cheap rate, please send me an urgent message.
