This week is heating up everybody !! ☀️ Heat stroke is a very big concern with the kind of heat we’re seeing these next couple of days, some tips to keep your fur babies happy healthy and cool in the summer time 🐶

•Only have them outside for urination and defecation purposes only !! No more than 10-15 minutes outside at a time. Playing in this heat will not allow their bodies to cool down properly, save the playing for inside these next couple of days !! 🐕

•Have fresh water available at all times! Ice cubes are a fun cool treat for them as well 🧊

•Keep fans going for them so they have a nice cool spot to rest if they start to get over heated 🪭

•Watermelon is a sweet cool treat that your pups will absolutely love and is safe for them to eat ! Everything in moderation ! No need to give them an upset stomach, only a couple pieces are great 🍉

*Any brachycephalic breeds are a lot more susceptible to heat stroke so be extra careful with these guys ! Ex:Frenchies, Pugs, Bostons, Boxers, Bulldogs
*Senior pets and pets with thickened coats are extra susceptible as well! Ex: Huskies, St.Bernards, Newfoundland, Great Pyrenees

•If you are concerned your pet is having a heat stroke call your local Veterinary ER as it is very important to get them seen and is a medical emergency !!
