The last season was quite intense and even by farm season standards. Before we even go into the field mice we digging up and eat our seeds in our trays in the greenhouse which could have meant we would have nothing to even plant. We overcame that and we got into the fields and had destruction to our fields, our garlic crop was trampled and resulting in a total loss. We had some areas under tarp for mid and late season planting that got destroyed by a backhoe which affected our ability to plant as many successions and rotations as we wanted. We started marking out our new field blocks at our new farm. We had to set up a cold storage at our new farm. We still managed to have some decent harvests. We began raising chickens. We began building a new greenhouse on our new farm. I was able to visit the place where my farming journey began in Saint Lucia. Despite the challenges we’re still here and motivated more than ever to serve you this season. We thank all of you who have supported in the past and all of you who support now and into the future. Thank you for the abundance of 2024! We’re gearing up for a brand new season in our new space and we’re so excited to bring the vision to life with our community in mind.
Time for some rest in between time until we see you again in the spring . Our kids will be knee deep in soil getting your seedlings ready ! It’s a Family affair and we appreciate you supporting our growing Farm Family.

Tomato season isn’t quite over yet, but if you haven’t got your bon vivant BLT yet, you might want to hurry up.

🌱 the vegan version comes with smoky tempeh and a vegan red pepper mayo that we make from scratch
🥓 the classic version comes with 3 slices of bacon and non-vegan red pepper mayo
🍞 get it on gluten free bread if ya want

Just a little fun fact: you might get a classic red slicer tomato, a purple Cherokee, or a Valencia on your sandwich. We’re been growing our own tomatoes with seedlings from and , with some support tomatoes from when we didn’t have enough of our own ripe and ready to go. All the varieties we’ve been serving are delicious!

The closer to home they were grown, the better they taste.

The transition is live in action over here at 1757 Woodroffe avenue! We’ve been hosting Farm Stands all summer and we’re not done yet !

Stop by tomorrow from 10am-3pm for some organic goodness. We’ll be around rain or shine !

We’ve transitioned into Urban Fresh Organics as we grow our offerings beyond produce. Thank you to those who have stopped by the Farm Stand so far. We look forward to seeing you for another week of freshly harvested goodness.

We look forward to seeing you all this Saturday from 10am-4pm at our new farm stand location of 1757 Woodroffe avenue.

We grabbed a few photos and a ton of memories from last week’s inauguration. Thank you for your support as we venture into anew ! The transition has unlocked new levels of patience as well as opportunities.

First time gardener picking up their small garden box. It’s giving happiness it’s giving new beginning it’s giving fresh. Come get your veggie and flower seedling from us. All plants are certified organic and grown with love. Our plants perform better because they are treated well.

Be sure to register to create with .j.l.y.artistry at 9:30am as she leads a workshop painting pots that will then be used to repot seedlings with at 12:30pm.

For our little explorers age 4+ , will lead them through nature to see what the land has to offer while yoga led by the storytelling of .dutoit takes place at 10:30am.

will be making the kids smile with some face painting while .media & invite you into an opportunity to go home with visual memories via photography (p.w.y.c) and live digital illustration portraits($15).

Community Supported Agriculture is when our community rallies around knowing they will receive 18 weeks or various vegetables and some fruits as they become available.
We’re so grateful for those who have been with us from the beginning and look forward to those joining the CSA crew this year .

2024 is going to be another season of abundance. We had the opportunity to share with the Carleton University Culinary Department last season. The head chefs came onto the land at to see exactly how it all gets done.

Growing food is my way of life and I’m grateful to share it with you all.
This season, our CSA veggie boxes are back! We’ve extended our offering for 18 weeks this season beginning in July to October.
We also have some seedling starter packs available for all the gardeners out there.
