Day 2 of the Upper Iowa Training Club's Rally Trial is in the books.
Polly finished her Novice title with a perfect score and 1st place.
Reno completed another triple for his 27th triple with great scores. We just weren't fast enough. He also got his 3rd RAE title (Advanced and Excellent).
Jagger completed 2 more triples placing in all but one class or a total of 17 triples.
He had a lot of perfect scores but we just weren't fast enough

Reno, Jagger and Polly competed in the Upper Iowa Training Club's Rally Trial today. They qualified in every run with nice scores. We lost some placings based on time but still add points toward the coveted RACH title.

Jagger has met the eligibility criteria to be invited to the AKC Obedience Classic (Open) in Florida this December.

It was a busy weekend showing at the Miniature Schnauzer obedience and rally trials in Hugo, MN.
Bindi got 1st place and her CDX title, 4th place and her Rally Excellent title.
Rocket got 1st place and his 2nd PCDX leg
Jagger got his Grad Open title and High Triple Combined rally with 297/300 points.
Tiffani got 2 Novice legs (2nd and 3rd place) and 2 Advanced rally legs (1st place and a qualifying run).
Polly got 1 Beginner Novice leg and 1 Rally Novice leg (4th place and 1st place rally)

Front and Finish released the 2023 national rankings for the Rally Master class. Rankings are based on placements 1st-4th at all breed trials throughout the year.

With heat and humidity here please take extra precautions with your dogs.
Dogs are notoriously bad at dissipating body heat. Watch for early signs of heatstroke, also known as hyperthermia, in your dog to avoid serious outcomes.

They're both people friendly and good hunters. Jagger is a solid obedience and rally competitor.
Etta is silver gray in color and is on the smaller side weighing 50 #. Jagger is blue and weighs 77 #.

Teams that earned a qualifying score of 170 or more points in Open and Utility classes during a given year are included in the tabulation. Points are awarded based on the dog's score according to a point schedule.
The top ten ranking dogs by breed are published.
Bo (Helfinstine's Alabama Bleu Bojangles) and Jagger (Whispering's N Dreamweaver's Tru Bleu Jagger) were tied for the #7 Weimaraner 2023.

The latest on the timing of spaying or neutering dogs from the University of California Davis in relation to hip and elbow dysplasia, certain cancers and joint/ligament injuries. They have specific recommendations for 40 breeds, unfortunately the Weimaraner wasn't one of the breeds studied but you can make inferences based on other breed recommendations.

Working on Jagger's directed retrieve. He likes to pounce and slide. Today was a good day - he did neither.
I have two 10 week old boys looking for homes. They're playful and bold. This was their first time outside and they met a new dog that they thought was pretty fun to chase.
7 weeks old. Breakfast after spa day.
They're more awake and playful tonight. Getting pictures is like trying to get a picture of a particular bee in a swarm.
5 weeks old today and it was spa day: weights, nail trims and worming done. Blue boy has overtaken dark pink girl as the biggest at 7.92#. Green boy is still the lightest at 5.82# The rest are between 6-7 pounds, healthy, eating kibble and drinking water. Apparently dark pink girl skipped the video session. I'll get her later today.
3 weeks old today. Dark pink, light pink almost white and yellow are girls. Green, blue, purple and rust are boys.
Jagger startig proofing on articles. We did a dumbbell retrieve diagonally to the left. Then I placed the dumbbell in the pile of articles. He had to find the one article with my scent on it.

Jagger starting utility scent articles. This is day 1, send 11. He started with one article and built up to the full 11. At the start the "scented" article has a strip of cheese whiz on it placed so he can see it. He has a trained retrieve for hunting so I was afraid even with the cheese he would just grab but he didn't make one mistake.
Jagger NQ'd in open. The "down" in command discrimination is his nemesis. Other than that he had a nice run. The judge had so many nice things to say about him. Once we get over that hurdle he'll be a great competitor.
