Pretty excited to go to Pet Pro Classic!! Extra education in my field is important. Grooming is growing every day and there's always new things to learn. I hope to bring those new things in and apply them to my grooming to make my work even better!!

The more you know!! Some ask me why I require the rabies. Not only is it for your pups safety, it's a state requirement!

WHY IS THE RABIES VACCINE IMPORTANT?
State law requires that domestic animals such as dogs and cats are vaccinated against rabies, which is a serious, often fatal illness that can be transmitted through animal bites.
Animals that bite or scratch a human need to be quarantined to monitor them for signs of rabies, so quarantining helps ensure the animal doesn’t have the disease and protects public health.
Keeping your animals up-to-date not only protects your animals, but our community as well.

Remember dogs have a higher temperature than we do. They can over heat faster than us. Be sure you're bringing them in to cool off during these hot days!!

The more you know!!!

Most groomers require your pets to have rabies vaccines. It is for the safety of your pet and the groomers! If the pet were to break skin for any reason we are required to report the bite unfortunately. The health department will then have to do what they need to do to make sure that pet has the vaccine. I keep the certificate on hand so I can help your pet from being quarantined!!
Of course its always great to have all vaccines up to date for the health and safety of your pet!!

1. Why does my pets groom cost more than mine??

2. Why does mobile grooming cost more than salon??

Mobile grooming is a luxury service!! We come to you and spend one on one time with your pet. Most Salons take in multiple pets at a time. Due to drive time, mobile groomers take in less pets. I personally want to get to know your pet and give it a less stressful experience!!

This is a great example of how to brush your long haired fur babies. She's line brushing. It's where you hold up the hair above the brush and brush a section at a time. Using a comb to check for tangles that were left behind. If the comb catches a tangle though, do NOT pull it through. Reverse the comb and continue to brush until you can get the comb through smoothly.

If you brush at home at least 3 times (or more) a week, your groomer will less likely have to shave out matts.

The more you know. The most common accidents with grooming. I do my best to keep these from happening. However some babies are just too wiggly. If it becomes too dangerous to groom them due to them gator rolling or trying to bite, I will stop the groom for their safety!
