Yay! We passed our CPDT-KA exam along with our colleague Gina with Wooly Beast Training, LLC, and are now certified through the certification council for professional dog trainers.

It took a lot of effort to get this certification. Here are some of the things we had to do:
- a minumum of 300 hours of experience (this was the easiest one, since we already all had this one).
- Lots of studying
- Signing a standard of practice, and code of ethics.
- Agreeing to abide by LIMA (Least intrusive, minimially aversive) training practices, and the humane heirarchy.
- Receiving an attestation statement from a veterinarian.
- Taking and passing a knowledge based examination.

Certifications are important because they can be taken away if you don‘t uphold them. In order to maintain this one, we have to follow all of the highest ethics and values in our training industry, and we have to constantly continue our education and improve our training skills. We look forward to continuing to learn and better ourselves, and find more effective ways to work with all pets, and our clients.

I’m so proud of these guys. Both Sadie from Agency Pet Training and Sully were able to enjoy swimming together! Sully’s first swim didn’t go as expected and he fell into the pool which resulted in him not wanting to go back in. Dog Mode helped him gain his confidence back! DogMode Agency Pet Training
