(3)

The Whitehorse Woofers Dog Club is a registered non-profit organization that has been in existence since 1996. The Club's purpose is to:

-Promote and encourage dog sport training and increase its popularity in a responsible manner.

-Promote good sportsmanship in the training and exhibition of dogs.

-Listen to our dogs until we discover what is needed instead of imposing ourselves in the name of

training.

-Not use force or confrontation so that we are able to develop a trusting relationship with our dog.

Whitehorse Woofers 2024 agility seminar, with instructor Koralee Samaroden from Fort McMurray, Alberta. We had two beginner mini-seminars on Friday evening at the Takhini dog field, then the rest of the weekend was spent at the dog field, doing two morning and two afternoon seminar sessions. We learned about path-work, early cuing, verbals, distance and discrimination between different agility obstacles, and so much more... Such a great weekend, thank you to everyone who participated, and to Koralee!

Thank you so much to everyone who participated in the UKC Nosework Trial, and took the time to sign and send kind messages to Kilrich Building Centres for allowing us to use their space. Attached is the card that is being sent to Kilrich electronically and printed and given in hard copy.

Thank you Kilrich! We loved searching the store and yard. It was so much fun!

I wanted to take a minute to say thank you to Donna Toews Whitehorse Woofers, Michelle, the volunteers and the participants for a wonderful nosework trial over the weekend. It was nice to see so many people and dogs out there doing nosework and having fun. Also a big thank you to Kathryn and Kilrich for letting us use their building for the weekend. And that's a wrap on our UKC Nosework Trials!
👏A huge thank you to Kilrich Building Centres for allowing us to use the store for our event! Allowing a bunch of dogs to take over your space for the weekend is much appreciated. We kept track of our favorite products for future shopping.
🥰Thanks to our Judge, Dr. Carla Simon of Hunter's Heart Kennels Ltd. for traveling to Whitehorse to judge our event, and for generously guiding us through the rules and logistics. We've learned so much from you!
👌Volunteers! We really appreciate you taking the time to help run our event. We couldn't do any of this without you.
🐕Participants! Whether you came home with ribbons, or learning opportunities, you should be proud that you put yourself out there and spent valuable time with your dog.
