Harley Mae passed away peacefully in her sleep at home, somewhere between 3AM-7AM this morning. She was in her bed with her blankies and her Mom & Dad, like always. She had been doing pretty good on her meds, eating well, smiling a lot, playing a lot and just yesterday she decided she didn’t want to eat and acted very tired. We feared the worst that maybe the cancer was taking over, and she was 15yrs old. That’s pretty old for a pittie. She was beyond loved. Her Owner went through hell and back to keep from ever being separated from her. They lived in a van. They lived in a storage unit. They finally got back on their feet and had an apartment, and all of us were helping with Harley‘s vet bills and needs.
Now she’s gone. It is a very sad day.
We are taking her to Riddle Funeral Home in Vermilion to have her cremated and paw prints made, etc. for her family.
Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. It’s going to be a very difficult holiday time for them already and now losing Harley Mae will make it worse. 💔💔
