Lorain County Pit Crew LCPC was founded to work proactively, to attempt to do and offer different things, in hopes of yieldi We do NOT take dogs that owners wish to surrender.

Helping bully breed owners keep their dogs in their homes and out of already overwhelmed shelters, rescues and off of the streets by providing crucial needs and services such as : dog training, spay and neuter, shots and other medical needs, food, crates, etc. We are here to try to help you find a way to keep your dog. We do not have a shelter or boarding facility. Maybe someday...

Sorry for the late update. We have been swamped, but wanted to first think everyone who donated and checked in and tried to help Lady. Lady’s mass is believed to be cancer 😥 We’ve had her seen by two different Vets just to be sure. Both Vets agreed that she should be placed on palliative care and kept comfortable and spoiled until she can no longer be kept comfortable. At that time, we will help her cross the bridge. She has multiple meds to help keep her comfortable. We were able to collect enough donations to pay for her meds and most of her Vet bills. We may ask for additional help when the time comes to help cover her final expenses. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. 💔🌻

Hiring!

Looking for a Sunday evening kennel attendant to feed & exercise dogs, clean and tend to clients and rescues that may be dropping off and picking up dogs. The hours are 3-6pm & 8-10pm, OR 4-9pm. Experience preferred but not required. Must not be afraid of dogs. We do a LOT of rescue work and care for many scared rescue dogs who have no family except us. There is the potential to pick up extra hours through the week and quite a bit of staff vacation coming up to be covered if interested in making extra money. Text Candi Rogers: 440-315-9382

** UPDATES: 5/16/25 - 5:42PM*** Both Stella & Lady were seen at Lorain Animal Clinic today as urgent. Both sweet girls received exams & medications and both will need additional vet care in the near future. Lady will be seeing another Vet tomorrow morning at 9AM for additional diagnostics to better determine more about her mass/abscess and what it actually is and what can be done to help.
Stella is to take medication and rest for 2 weeks and then get a recheck to determine whether or not she will need surgery if it does not heal on its own. Thank you to all who donated and made it possible for us to get both of these girls in on an emergency basis. We will update more about Lady tomorrow after her appointment and more about Stella in 2 weeks. Thank you ALL so much for your continued love and support ❤️❤️

**UPDATE 5/16/25: 5:15pm: Lady was seen at the vet today and given meds for tonight and has to see a different vet tomorrow at 9am to decide about surgery. We do not have any idea yet of what it would cost or if she can even get surgery as we do not know yet if it’s an abscess or a mass, cancer, etc. They’re going to check into this further tomorrow morning. We will keep everyone posted as we find out more tomorrow. Lady’s Vet visit and meds today at Lorain Animal Clinic was $177.00. ***

When it rains it pours. I know we are already asking for help with Stella who was hit by a car, but I couldn’t say no to trying to help this guy with LADY. She’s in pain and can’t walk and needs surgery. No vet will let him make payments. He can’t get a credit card. He works and is willing to make payments but can’t pay it all upfront. She’s only 10 years old and this was his wife’s dog and his wife died two years ago. She’s really special to him. If anyone can donate to help LADY get her surgery we will get her in to Lorain Animal Clinic STAT! Otherwise, she will have to be euthanized 😥
