Petloc: The first combination locking dog lead

Petloc was developed as a direct response to the increased threat of dog theft. Pet loss has become a significant concern worldwide and is forcing owners to seriously consider their pets’ daily security. Dog theft has been reported to be Britain’s fastest growing crime. Reports indicate that over 60 dogs are stolen in UK every week with only 1 in 5 ever being recovered.

Many thefts occur opportunistically when dogs are left outside shops or in parked cars. Petloc offers added protection in both circumstances. By using a lead that is lockable, and cannot be easily untied, opportunistic theft could be significantly reduced.The loss of a pet for want of a simple security device like Petloc is madness.

Petloc uses specially designed combination two-dial clips in both the handle and collar areas to protect against theft or accidental release and incorporates 2 steel cables along each edge of the lead to prevent it being cut through easily.

Petloc was the first combination lock dog leash on the market, launched twelve years ago. Sadly since then the problem hasn't gone away (new figures compiled by the Blue Cross animal welfare charity show a 40% rise in dog theft in the last three years) and since we are now out of stock it's time to update this proven system and get your pets protected against theft again.
