Unfortunately shelters and rescues are getting over run with Malinois.

Please stop getting this breed if you are unable to give them the outlet, training and structure they need. This is not a breed to leave outside unattended while you’re at work or to sit around and do nothing all day!

If you have the time and energy to put the work into this breed, there are plenty getting loose, dumped, rehomed! Just make sure you’re prepared to provide them what they need to thrive so they aren’t returned to the shelter system!!

This darling girl arrived at the City of Denton Animal Shelter as a stray on September 27th. She is listed as a one year old, Belgian Malinois.

The Belgian Malinois is smart, confident, curious & a world class worker who forms an unbreakable bond with their human partners.

This breed is eager to please and requires mental & physical stimulation and plenty of it!

If you are an active person who loves to do things with your dog Cheerio might just might be the right girl for you!
