Ledger running a 170 yard mark
Getting updates on Ledger is always fun. Heâs been out of the game for over a year, so seeing him step back into the game is exciting.
Itâs been a good bit since weâve had the chance to really work the dogs (the heat has been absolutely oppressive this summer) but happy to say Ledger is knocking the rust off with ease!
Please ignore the terrible video đ Weâve been proofing weaves/entries since we spent so much time off, and Ledger has really improved! This was about his 10th time through, so heâd slowed down a bit, but heâs still way more efficient than he used to be!
Ruby, from our 2021 litter, on her first pheasant hunt! Her owner says sheâs a natural, and had a blast flushing and retrieving.
Itâs been a while since weâve done agility. Between moving, getting married, and prepping the house for a baby, we havenât been to class in over four months. But Ledger did a WONDERFUL job of reading me and listening. Heâs a bit confused why Iâm moving slow, so we need to work on speed eventually (Iâm not getting faster any time soon haha) but Iâm very proud of him â„ïž
The boys have to take turns coming to slobber on my belly for love đWell, most of that slobber is thanks to CrueâŠ
Yesterday we watched Crue run some advanced set ups. He hadnât seen me in a couple months, and I didnât say hi before he ran. Watch how he keeps looking over at me between marks đ He tried to sneakily bring me the first bird, but got caught. Safe to say he missed his mom đ€
So much of agility is handling. Iâm notorious for being terrible at all forms of crosses, but especially blinds. Ledger, on the other hand, is great at crosses. We practiced me trusting him in class the other night, and had a pretty good outcome. One blooper for a tight turn I asked for where he spun in a circle first, but he corrected himself pretty quick đ
Filmed myself working with Crue while he was home. Our goal is to compete in obedience when heâs done with his MH, so I was working on less movement in his stands. But take a look behind the baby gateđ€Šââïž Ledger was very jealous baby brother was getting cheese and decided to take a blanket from the dog room and throw a fit on itđ
7 month old Duke, a Ledger puppy, retrieving his first wild duck đŠ
Heâs a heck of a puppy!
Little #GoPro action while running some blind drills with Crue. Love being able to see him stop on the whistle (even though he needed a reminder to sit downđ) and take my angled cast to the pile
Getting in a little drill work
Thatâs an enthusiastic recallđ

Baby dog running some doubles. Happy with his marking and how his line manners are developing âšđđ»
