I had promised, about a year ago, to take Gracie and it finally happened! We were able to get her to the vet and sanctuary.
Please pray that she will know peace quickly here and come to understand that she’s safe and loved.

I found this post with the video of a time I was trying to trap Cozy. She was so hard to trap. I had to finally get someone to help me with a drop trap. I knew she needed help because I could tell her mouth was swollen. She did have dental issues so I was glad I got her. She was such a good girl, but she could be stubborn for sure.

Beautiful Cozy was here just a little over 4 years. I’m going to miss the look she’d give me when I got too close. I could pet her sometimes when she was eating, but most of the time I couldn’t get close to her.
I am grateful for the 4 years, but it wasn’t long enough.

It was not pneumonia. It was FIP. There’s no test for FIP and on the xray they look the same. I was told yesterday that FIP was a possibility, but they really felt like it was pneumonia. It wasn’t, but by the time Cozy showed me she was sick it was already too late.
There’s no vaccine against FIP. There’s no test for FIP.
The type of FIP that Fannie and Cozy had takes them quickly.
More research needs to be done so we can have a vaccine.
My heart is just broken. I’ll forever feel guilty that she suffered.
