Scentwork, also known as nosework or scent detection, has numerous benefits for dogs. Some of the main benefits of scentwork for dogs include:

🐾 Introduction to Scentwork Presentation Evening 🐾

Unlock the world of scentwork for your furry friend! Join us on January 29th from 18:30 to 21:00 at the APG Training Centre, Estover Road, Plymouth.

🐶 Who Should Attend?
Perfect for dog owners eager to introduce their pets to the exciting world of scentwork. Discover how this enriching experience can benefit your dog's well-being.The evening is designed to allow us to talk you through the various processes of imprinting, odour behaviour and effects, the benefits to both you and your dog, the K9 Olfaction system and our unique 'Pets at work' programme. This is a dog free presentation, allowing us to give you all our full attention. We will, of course, have a couple of our own dogs present that you can all meet and watch demos of them using the scentwork apparatus we train with. We will demonstrate how easy it is to make your own scent training aids for use in your own home.

The price is only £60 per person. A £20 deposit will book your place on this fun evening with the balance due in January. Those that then sign up to our 6 week courses beginning in February will have the first lesson for free, saving £12 on the course cost of £72!!

Just an example of scent boxes we use in our classes. You can modify pretty much anything to suit as long as it is safe, sterile and doesn't impact the dog in any way. Once both your dog and you are competent and confident, you can progress onto different types of search, just as the just photos show. All done in an ethical, fun and positive way.
