Lucy certainly leaped into the weekend! It’s been very hot here 🥵 but I love her happy face when she gets to run around at the beach. It’s pure joy!

I think one of my favourite things is when you’re giving your dog a pat/scratch and you go to take your hand away but they put their arm over yours to keep it there!

Happy gotcha day/birthday to my chatty, messy, sometimes squawky Charlie. I’ve had him for 11 years!

And although he’s getting slower and his stamina is not what it used to be (he can only do one or two laps around a room before he crash lands), he’s still the cutest little thing to me 💙

It’s Lucy’s birthday today and she’s hit the double digits… she’s 10 years old! I honestly don’t know where that time went but I’m eternally grateful for all the memories made.

It’s been a little while since these two have shown their faces but hello 👋🏼

It’s Lucy’s 10th birthday in just over a week… I can’t believe it! I don’t know what happened to my cheeky little puppy… she’s a senior citizen now!

I walked into a pet shop on the weekend hoping to find some shampoo but unbeknownst to me, they had an event on with a photographer who took some photos of Lucy which were just emailed through and oh my goodness, so cute!

I can’t believe in a few months, she’s turning 10! I swear she was just a puppy…

Hi all! It’s been a little while since our last post. We’re actually in the process of moving house & it’s been a bit of a stressful time as our new place isn’t quite ready but we have to leave our home as the new owners are moving in!

I hope Charlie and Lucy will both be okay with the change… we’ve been in this house for over 25 years and it’s been the only home they’ve known. If you have any tips on keeping pets calm in a move, I’d love to hear it!

Oh, also… Charlie after a bath is the cutest thing ever right?

This week, I lost someone very special to me… my Nan. She was a beautiful soul and adored Charlie and Lucy (even though most of the time they were just after her snacks)!

We will all miss her deeply ❤️

Over the weekend, Lucy got to catch up with some of her “oodle” pals. Meet Reggie (the biggest of us all), Jazz (the smallest of us all), Mango and Penelope.

When Lucy was a puppy around 9 years ago now, I made her an Instagram account so I would have a place to post all of her cute photos… and at that time, I ended up “following” the accounts of these dogs. I never would’ve guessed the impact those dogs and their lovely owners would have on me in my future. I’m very thankful for them and so happy to still have them in my life!

Lucy took herself to bed but Charlie was hanging around and decided to give her a bedtime preen… it’s actually the cutest thing ever. He doesn’t do that much these days but he walked over there himself and jumped up on her arm.

It melts me 🥹

A little Charlie update…

I’ve noticed a little cyst on his wing but I can only see it when he stretches it right out. It doesn’t seem to be causing him any discomfort so I’m hoping it’s just a little fatty lump. He’s still very content, can still fly etc.

I want to get him to a Vet soon but there’s just not many bird ones where I am. If you happen to be a Vet or have seen this before, I’d love your thoughts!
