Louie: Emergency Surgery 💔 Today
Louie has torn a ligament in his leg and can’t walk. Marcella and Louie need us NOW! We rescued our dude at his absolute worst, in a horrific state and found him his perfect life with his person. It took a long time (and a lot of support thanks to YOU). Enter Marcella, she has given Louie the life he deserves and more (that’s our wish for each and every pup). Louie has a solid family of humans and pups and is spoiled beyond our wildest dreams. Louie gets to train, entertain and play with foster dog after foster dog. He has become our secret foster weapon of kindness. Any amount helps!

💔When your all is not enough💔 Let’s Save Mara.
Mara is set to undergo a lifesaving surgery that will cost $8,000. Her family is short $5,000. If this surgery isn’t performed right away Mara will go into kidney failure, go septic and could die. We are not going to let money get in the way of saving a life! Together we can help!

Maracunya aka Mara has been the one and only child of Connie and her husband for years. Without children, Connie has found comfort in her best friend and confidant as they have battled many life changes together.

A deformity of Mara’s lady parts - ie ducts (ureters) that pass urine from the kidney to the va**na have caused urine to become trapped in Mara’s bladder. The result is constant bloody and oozing infection that is bringing pain.

During the initial diagnosis at UC Davis it was also found that Mara has a defective kidney that is no longer functioning. This leaves her one functioning kidney and a bladder that cannot expel urine. If these infections continue Mara will become septic, go into kidney failure and die. UC Davis will need to do an in depth surgery to remove and remove or readjust the ureters.

Meanwhile Mara’s family is doing whatever it takes to save their baby. In addition to her full time job at a local vet clinic, both Connie and her husband have began working additional jobs on the weekends and after work (24/7) and have been doing various bake sales and fundraising to try to get enough money to save their baby girl!

When Connie and her hubby fell short with the costs of surgery, they called us. And let’s face it, that’s why we are here!
