Y’all! Josephine’s jewels have captured our hearts! These adorable little furballs are now 3 weeks old, and they’re growing up so fast! 🌟 We moved away from Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) and are focusing on socialization. We are performing 10-step puppy touch exercises daily, and loving it! Here’s what they’ve been up to without us:
👀Eyes Wide Open: Those little peepers are finally open for everyone, and they’re starting to explore their surroundings! It’s heartwarming to see them look around with curiosity, realizing they have much to learn and do! 👀❤️
🐾 First Steps: They’re wobbling around on their tiny paws, practicing their walking skills! It’s a bit like watching a baby giraffe take its first steps—too cute for words! 🦒🐾
🐶 Playtime is the Best Time: These playful pups are starting to engage with each other! They’re wrestling, tumbling, and giving each other sweet puppy kisses 👅
🍽️ Tasting Solid Food: We’ve introduced mush, and they’re loving it! Watching them chow down is both hilarious and adorable! 🍲😋

🤩🩷🌟 My stars, y’all! My Stars! 🌟🩷🤩 We received amazing news from the again today! Our sweetheart, Maci, soared in her final health clearances, with EXCELLENT OFA FINAL hip results! Maci successfully completed the extensive health testing requirements of a River Days momma, and of the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals Canine Health Institute Certification (OFA CHIC) for the Australian Labradoodle (ALD)— we are awaiting her CHIC number, but all requirements are met! Both Maci’s parents are certified therapy dogs— and, we definitely see it in her too. Maci turned two years old in December 2024, and we anticipate her contributions to our program in 2025– with a Maci +Jett pairing 🐕‍🦺💙🦮🩷
Maci’s testing includes:
✔️OFA FINALS: Hips, elbows, patellas
✔️PennHip Evals
✔️OFA Congenital Cardiac
✔️OFA Eyes
✔️Animal Genetics, INC, ALD recessive disease testing

🚨We are “OVER THE MOON”, would be an understatement! Our very own River Days boy, River Days Blue Angels “Jett” aced his finals, with EXCELLENT OFA FINAL hip results! Jett successfully completed the rigorous health testing requirements of a River Days dad, and of the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals Canine Health Institute Certification (OFA CHIC) for the Australian Labradoodle (ALD)— we are awaiting his CHIC number, but all requirements have been met! Jett was whelped in our home and is the son of our retired mom Luna, and our precious boy, Beso (also possesses OFA FINAL hip score of EXCELLENT). Jett turned two years old in November 2024, and we anticipate his contributions to our program in 2025, with Ginger’s upcoming cycle. 🐾⭐️

“We are still working on potty training! He is so so smart. We have some tricks and he knows when to potty outside…he is so good with other dogs and this week he got his rabies vaccine…crate training is wonderful. He sleeps so good”!

“Update on “Lil’ Mil” 😆 Millie Rose! Caught her chewing on the rug but with a face that cute I can’t even be mad! She’s living her best life doing all the things! Daily car rides to and from school with our daughters, learning how to walk on leash alongside us without pulling or jumping & nipping (in the yard for now), loves to run sprints & working on fetch (she likes to run after the ball but isn’t interested in retrieving it)…plus treats for going potty outside, saying “please” by sitting calmly when asked. What a smart girl! So playful and fun but also such a sweet cuddle bug”

Y’all! We are in love! Happy 2 weeks to Josephine’s jewels 💎🐾
We’ve been performing Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) daily, and ensuring their space is clean, and mom is well cared for. We’ve added some new proteins and fat to mom’s diet to support healthy milk production for 9 little jewels. Josephine is enjoying chicken, beef, and rabbit! She’s had a full groom to feel comfortable and fresh, and she’s taking daily hikes on our trails with us, which she loves! A healthy and happy mom is super important too— physically, mentally, and emotionally! 🩷
Puppy development this week:
👀Their eyes are starting to open!
👂🏻They can hear!
🚼 They are scooting around the whelping box!
☀️ They are receiving supplemental heat to reduce risk of viral replication.
‼️Update: Little Josie (mother of Pearl) is doing well! She is home with her host family, and they report that she is back to herself! She is happy, playful, and snuggly. What a blessing 🙌🏻

📣 Y’all! We have some wonderful news to share! Our sweet little Josie delivered a beautiful little girl named Pearl! 🩷 Pearl has no living biological littermates. To give Pearl the very best chance at a healthy and normal development, we’ve decided to have Pearl join Josephine’s litter, where she will have all the advantages of littermates 🐶💕 How amazing is it that both Josie and Josephine delivered on the same day? For our new followers, yes, we have both a Josie and a Josephine! 🌸🌸
🙌🏻We’re overjoyed that Josephine has embraced Josie’s puppy as her own. Frankly, we expected no less from such a sweet and loving soul. This means Pearl will grow up with the vital socialization she needs for healthy puppy development! 🐾
❣️ Our precious Josie is healing beautifully and will be reuniting with her loving host family soon! 💕
‼️ It’s important to note that single puppies often miss out on essential social skills that come from interacting with littermates. Without these interactions, they can face challenges like poor bite inhibition, difficulty managing frustration, aggression towards other dogs, and heightened sensitivity to touch—this is known as “singleton puppy syndrome.” These effects can last a lifetime! By having Pearl join Josephine’s litter, we’re giving her the best opportunity for normal and healthy development, setting her up to become an AMAZING family dog!

GAH! Y’all look what’s coming up! 🤭 🦩🐝 Maggie and Spike 🐝🦩 The adorable tiny couple honeymooned last week! 🐝Puppies are due in late May! 🦩Puppies will be ready to go home in late July! 🌸 At just 18lbs, Maggie has the most AMAZING hip scores with PennHip(.1/.2), and OFA FINALS! She is the daughter of our Salem (retired) & Eno. Maggie is probably the most social/outgoing dog in our program and thinks that everyone showed up just for her! This party-girl also loves to cuddle and walk the neighborhood with her human-mom. 🐝 Spike, weighing in at only 13 lbs, won over the party girl with his stunning good looks, intelligence, and compact little bod! His hip scores with PennHip (.2/.2) are equally impressive! Spike is a snuggle-bug who loves being right by his human-dad’s side. 🌺🌸Maggie & Spike are a teeny and precious duo, and we fully expect to see endearing, sweet and fun babies from these two! 🐾Their puppies are anticipated to mature 11-21 lbs and have apricot and caramel wavy fleece coats, and some with white markings.
