This morning, Dr. Hiskett and Dr. Neisius volunteered their time at the Kansas Humane Society’s vaccine clinic!

Combined with Dr. Crockett from Skaer Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Jacob from Sedgwick Veterinary Clinic, and several volunteers from multiple organizations, they vaccinated and microchipped 200 dogs, cats, puppies and kittens!

🐾 Celebrating Our Amazing Practice Manager, Randi! 🐾

Today we want to give a huge shoutout to the woman who keeps our clinic running smoother than a freshly groomed Golden Retriever. ‍✨

Randi is the glue (like Gorilla Glue, not that Elmer's stuff), the calm in the storm, and the one who somehow keeps us organized even on the craziest days. From managing employee schedules to supporting our teams, and keeping us laughing when we need it most — she truly does it all.

We’re so grateful for everything Randi does behind the scenes (and in the middle of the chaos!) to make sure our clinic is the best place for pets, clients, and staff.

Happy Veterinary Practice Manager Day!!

Help us show Randi some love! 💛

Thanks to our fantastic Zoetis partners, Ginny & Heather, for inviting us to show off our mad golf skills (🤣) and eat some delicious food this weekend at Top Golf!

This week has a lot of progress that just doesn't photograph well! LOL! But inner doors are starting to be installed, the fire suppression system attached to the ceiling grids, FRP placed on walls where water potential is there (laundry room), the bathrooms have tile, wall bumpers are going on, and our beautiful wall of employee lockers were installed!
.. not to mention our entire drive and parking lot has now been poured and the land around it backfilled with dirt to prepare for landscaping (at some point).

A couple of weeks ago, a Friday afternoon appointment for a dog with a distended abdomen and no appetite resulted in the birth of five live puppies!

Sweet Chanel made a friend (wink, wink) and unbeknownst to anyone, had gotten pregnant. A quick x-ray revealed full term puppies and her discomfort and lack of appetite was because she had started active labor!

To ensure all were well, Nicole set her up (with her dad by her side) in a room at the clinic and became Chanel's personal midwife! From 2pm until 8:00 pm, everyone supported, loved on and monitored Chanel's progress. She left that evening with absolutely no distended abdomen 🙃, a carrier full of neonatal cuteness 🩵🩵🩵🩷🩷, an incredibly appreciative dad, and a new best friend in Nicole.

While we don’t have an official completion date, the clinic is right on track… and roughly 10 weeks away from being ours! 😳

Every week the changes within make it more and more beautiful, perfect, and “real.” 😍

This week we have tile, glass in the indoor windows, ICU and dental suite doors, downspouts, ceiling grids, a solid foundation of getting inside without walking through mud! 😅

Our veterinarians have researched long and hard and have come up with sure-fire ways for pet owners to enjoy the extra hour of sleep that comes with daylight savings time:

📍Turn off all the birds. No chirping = no wake-up call. Easy fix.

📍Explain time zones. Sit your dog down and tell them it’s a federal regulation. Should work fine.

📍Hide their food bowl in the bathtub. Out of sight, out of breakfast.

📍Set their internal clock to airplane mode.

📍Convince them it’s still dark. Sunglasses for everyone. Even the bearded dragons.

📍Play white noise… of you snoring. Familiar = soothing.

📍Tell the cat you moved to Arizona. (No daylight savings there, problem solved.)

📍Bribe them with belly rubs until they forget what time it is.

We wish you all the best…. 😉🫶🏻
