Drs. Joe Zulty, Jim Zulty, and Mary Zulty recently returned from an R&R trip to the Dominican Republic where in Sosua they took care of removing a large skin tumor on Grady and neutered a rottie named Dunlop (not in photo) with the help of Carl Hackman the owner and very skilled veterinary assistant. Thank you Judy for letting us use your clinic!

In Peru, there is a proposal to give people off a day when their pets pass. I love Peru.

FIRST MONUMENT DEDICATED TO ABANDONED ANIMALS

Since 2010, the boardwalk of Moaña, in Galicia, Spain, houses an emotional sculpture of a dog without a breed with a cat between its legs. This stone work pays tribute to homeless animals and was driven by Lela Soage, a woman whose life was dedicated to providing shelter and love to these abandoned beings. The monument, besides being a symbol of compassion, reminds the importance of respect and responsibility towards animals welfare

GeoVets just completed its biggest yet spay/neuter campaign in the Sacred Valley of Peru! Almost 300 dogs and cats! The Inca gods and we are happy.

Not quite 300, but we are rounding up from 275. "Proyecto 300" was a success!

In the Sacred Inca Valley of Peru, in the town of Pisac, a team of 29 GeoVeterinary volunteers from multiple US states and Germany collaborated with local partners from Urubamba and Cusco to accomplish 3 full days of dog & cat spays and neuters for the local community.

In the end the lives of many animals and their owners have improved. A drop in the bucket, but a good drop indeed….

Two weekends from now GeoVeterinary International will be undertaking its biggest ever clinic, coined "Proyecto 300".

A team of over 30 from Maine, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, North Carolina, Colorado, and Germany will collaborate with Petra & Ulises of Urubamba and Dr. Carmen and her colleagues of Cusco to accomplish over 300 dog and cat spays and neuters in the town Pizac in the majestic Sacred Valley of Peru.

Proyecto 300 has been of dream for a while. And now, after a year of preparations and international communications, it is happening! We will have 12 surgery tables operating at the same time. In doing so we will touch a community in need, spread our good deeds, and make life a bit better for people and their pets.

Love fat cats!

🇹🇷🐈‍⬛🪑En Estambul, Turquía, se erigió una estatua en homenaje a Tombili, un querido gato callejero conocido por su singular hábito de sentarse en una postura relajada, observando el movimiento de la calle. Alimentado y cuidado por los vecinos, Tombili se convirtió en un símbolo de la comunidad. En agosto de 2016, su fallecimiento por una enfermedad desconocida dejó un vacío significativo, con su partida anunciada mediante carteles en la calle Güleç Çıkmazı, donde solía estar. La estatua ahora sirve como un recordatorio del especial vínculo entre Tombili y los residentes de la zona.

This is a one-day event where supporters of BARCS can choose from one of dozens of restaurants, cafes, to-go businesses, bars, breweries or food trucks across the state to dine out and raise money for our shelter.

The president of Argentina had his dog Conan cloned in 2018, producing 5 clones of the original. Interestingly I was involved in the cloning of a long haired Chihuahua named Bruce Wayne in 2017 - which was the first cloned dog in the state of Maryland! Check out photo below.
