Tug toys that actually last a good play session without leaving a destroyed toy and a mess of stuffing or material all over the place. My 90lbs Briard tugs hard, and these toys last him years! Best of all, if it does tear, just pull the ends tight and it keeps going as it won't unravel like a braided toy! Treats that are simple, organic, local and with food allergies in mind.

New batch of beef broth for our kangaroo biscuits completed!
Did you know that most commercially produced broths contain onion among other things? Most of them, even the organic ones, contain salt, "colour" and "spices". To avoid any chance of onion contamination, we are committed to making our own safe option!

This is a higher value treat for most dogs with a lovely strong smell of liver. ;) Zayna will tell you "the house smells fantastic on baking day"😁

So far it's been a busy December. Zayna makes sure I take my breaks from the kitchen. ;)
We've had lots of orders leave here which means that there will be a lot of happy dogs all over! 🐶🐾

On remembrance day do we not only think of the soldiers that gave their lives but also of the many many animals that lost their lives in the line of service and duty.
We have had Briards for nearly 20 years, to think that almost didn't happen... During WWI and WWII Briards were used to deliver ammunition as well as a sentry dog at the front lines. The medical Corps used them to find wounded soldiers, it was said among the men if the Briards passed a wounded soldier, they were beyond assistance.
Briards were so good at their jobs that the enemies purposely sought out the brave dogs to kill them. The breed was nearly completely wiped out.
Briards are one of the oldest European herding dogs and we are glad they did not completely parish during the wars.

Socialising and training a young pup correctly can be very time consuming at times. Thankfully their brains work like a sponge and just absorb new things quickly. A well placed reward or treat really enforces those correct behaviours we all want to see.
On today's walk, we had some turkey liver treats and duck liver treats with us. They break apart easily enough that they make a great small training treat without becoming a crumbly mess.

Oh so pretty! My favorite recipe as it reminds me of our beautiful coast with the Bull kelp powder!
Organic whole oat flour, free range chicken liver, bull kelp powder!
The bull kelp is sustainability harvested by hand in the waters north of the island.
It has many vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and essential minerals for dogs and people!
