Near North Animal Control For lost or found dogs in Powassan, Chisholm, Nipssing, and Callander:, call (no cats) 705 724-2676. Dogs must be licensed before being released.

Stray dogs are on impound for 4 days (for owner reclaim), then will be placed for adoption (please see "Adoptions" album). Bail costs depend on the township and vary from $25 to $40, and board is $20 a day.

Nov 5...Gt Pyrenees and smaller gray/white "friend" impounded from Nipissing Twp.. Owner located and will be picking them up.

Nov 1 - tri coloured male Beagle type dog impounded....found out near Restoule. If he's yours, call before you come: 705-724-2676.

Update: Owner has claimed and he's back home.

Oct 8/21. Impounded - black medium sized dog, picked up on east side of Powassan. 705-724-2676. If yours, please CALL before coming.

Owner located....gone home.

Aug 6/21. Older female Labrador type dog found wandering Hwy 11/94. 705-724-2676.

UPDATE: dog back home.

Mastiff type female dog impounded - found on Hwy 11 south of Trout Creek. Owner can pick up in the morning ....PLEASE phone first to arrange a pick up time. 705-724-2676.
