Another good day at ESNZ Show Hunter, this time at Ashburton. Wins and places to the two young ponies Tallyho Peter Pan and Tallyho Ruby. Both very well ridden by Lily who does a great job when she only gets to ride these ponies on competition day.

Genuine, safe, and kind, this 6 y/o, 14.1hh, Connemara/English Riding Pony, mare, already has an impressive winning record in ESNZ Show Hunter classes. Adapting well to different riders, she has a scopey jump and shows brilliant potential for higher levels. She is well trained on the flat, working in a consistent outline and with even regular paces. She loves to jump.
Her breeding is focused on performance bloodlines, and many others from this pony’s lines are/were regular HOY Placegetters at 1.20, participants in the Saba Sam team, and Pony GP SJ.
Professionally schooled every inch of the way, including time with a top Event Rider and with one of our top pony showjumping riders, no expense has been spared in her preparation. Time to get serious about finding a new home for the lovely Tallyho Ruby. 5 year old 3/4 Connemara x 1/4 Riding Pony - (or thereabouts) mare, latest home measure 146cm, so will still grow to be pretty close to full size. By Tallyho Atomic (Not Fair x Lonsdale Gentle Breeze) out of Tallyho Diva (Barwidgee Erriff x Ridgeway Kilkieran). Some very good old jumping bloodlines in here. Ruby has been very well schooled and has several jumping outings under her belt. Enjoys farm riding. Good to float, shoe, catch etc. A lovely genuine pony with heaps of potential to be a superstar. Still young so will only be suitable for an experienced family to produce further.

The Tallyho greys have been doing pretty well in the show ring lately. Tallyho Contessa at Otago Taieri A&P and Tallyho Monaghan at Palmerston Waihemo A&P both managed to cover their necks with lovely wide Champion Ribbons.

She is a 5 year old Connemara x mare by Tallyho Atomic out of Tallyho Diva. High spec performance bloodlines on both sides.

Tallyho Lancaster (aka Bomber) is ready to find an experienced home where he will be carefully produced on to reach his full potential. He is by Holden Kingston (Telesun/ Panikou bloodlines) out of a Tallyho bred Connemara x TB mare. A solid build , approx 15.2hh. Being professionally schooled at present. Competed 80 and 90cm Show Hunter ESNZ McLeans Island at Labour weekend and placed every round . Very genuine young horse. Big part bred Connemara’s like this are extremely hard to find in NZ. This pony is one of a kind, going under saddle less than 1 month and gave a great performance in the Young Event Pony class at McLeans Island this weekend for a 5th placing. Tallyho Peter Pan. Small but mighty!

Tallyho Connemara Stud has moved. We are now located in the lovely Waimate district. Visitors welcome!
