The Mushroom Kids are officially available for adoption! Everyone was fixed this week and tested negative for FeLV/FIV! YAY!

Many don’t know this information! Remember every second matters during a choking incident.
1. Place the dog on their back. Brace the back against the floor. Straddle the dog while adjusting yourself based on the size of the dog. Position the head in “in-line position” with the airway parallel to the floor.
2. Make an open diamond shape with your hands. Place your thumbs on either side of the trachea below the ball or object. Grip the “V” of the jaw using lip/cheek to protect fingers.
3. Push with a J-stroke down and out against the ball until it ejects from the mouth.
Both this method and the Heimlich method has been proven to work in these scenarios so don’t hesitate to save your dog.

We don't understand how this sweet girl has not received 1 application since she's been available for adoption since last March! Almost a year!
Minnie is a Heinz 57, under 30 lbs and a sweetheart. She does great with male dogs only, large and small. Though she's still a bit nervous of things in the outside world, she is an absolute love and just needs a trusting person to show her it's ok.
Minnie was heartworm positive but has gone through treatment and receives her monthly flea and hw meds. She's also spayed, utd on shots and microchipped.
All adoptable animals must receive a completed application to start the process, and a background check and home visit is done before any adoption is approved.
