Carolina Boxer Rescue Carolina Boxer Rescue is a volunteer run, 501(c)3 non-profit boxer rescue organization We place a particular emphasis on rescuing very old and very sick boxers.

Our mission is to rescue, medically rehabilitate, and re-home unwanted and abandoned Boxers. We strive to inform the communities we serve about the realities of pet ownership, promote spaying/neutering, and encourage responsible care. We place our boxers in permanent homes, following a thorough adoption process that includes reference checks and home visits. Boxers in our care are spayed or neuter

ed, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and are placed in foster homes where they will await placement in their furever homes. Join us in our mission to save the boxers and “leave no nub behind.”

We are so saddened to hear of one of our vibrant foster and adoptive homes passing. Tracey Rockett in Siler City NC has supported us for years by fostering. Her heart was so big. She had a direct impact on so many of our homeless boxers including Empress, Moose, Bowser, Kai, Gemma, Raven, Shirley, Rocki, Wilbur and more. She foster failed with her boy Moose in May 2022. We will miss her loving spirit, generosity and kindness.

The holiday season is a time for warmth, joy, and togetherness. But for some of our fosters at Carolina Boxer Rescue, it’s a poignant reminder of what they’re still waiting for—a loving home.

These four wonderful pups have been with us for far too long, and we're hoping you can help us find their perfect families this holiday season.

Happy Tails Tuesday!!

Week two update on Maisy (was Sophia)! Maisy continues to make herself at home. She took her first “fun” short car ride with a treat at the end to get her exposed to the idea that rides are not a bad thing. She and Hank have learned to play puppy “tag” and have been boxing up a storm. She’s also now firmly established that Brian is her person. She follows him around everywhere, which is awesome because he is a stay at home dad and has the most face time with her. We are excited to see how her personality continues to emerge! 😊

Happy Tails Tuesday!!

Gracie(was Norma Jean) has been with us 6 months!! During this time we celebrated her 2nd birthday! She has to be the happiest boxer we have ever had, everything is a game and/or a toy. Ball and tug are her favorite games. She loves "helping" around the house and yard as much as possible, making things take twice as long to do, which is fine with us. She has made more friends, she is much less anxious with meeting people, and more confident knowing that we are her forever family.
Thanks for all you do.

Happy Tails Tuesday!!

We can’t believe it’s been 2 months! Little Clara Bell (formerly Harper) has settled in and is completely one of the pack now. She keeps her older brother and sister on their toes and gives the best snuggles. She has the occasional accident but she’s had many changes over the last few months so we understand and she’s continually getting better. It’s hard to believe how much she has grown in the last 2 months. She has truly stolen everyone’s heart.

Happy Tails Tuesday!!

Lucy(was Princess) is doing great. She is such a sweet bundle of joy, energy, and silliness—quite possibly part kangaroo when she jumps around. Last week, she had her final X-ray and follow-up for her leg with the surgery clinic. They said she is good to go and can be a full-on normal puppy. She is getting much better on walks, and we have found that she and one of our other dogs actually do amazing when you walk them together, which has resulted in more walks for both of them. We have also enrolled her in some training classes to help work on some manners and help with her jumping when we or guests come into the house. She is super smart and a fast learner (when yummy treats are involved). She has truly come out of her shell these past few weeks and has started enjoying coming along on errands such as picking our daughter up from school and trips to Lowes.

Happy Tails Tuesday!!

I have renamed her Ophie (was DeeDee)! She has adjusted well to her new home, but has caught a cough that is being treated. She is happy and full of wiggles and side eyes!
