Let’s welcome Tarot to the NBK9 pack!!!
Tarot is a 10 week old purebred Standard poodle. He’s from a local PNW breeder and he is an apricot color.

Tarot is my second personal pup and is currently a service dog prospect. Right now the big jobs Tarot has to learn is potty training, crate training and making sure he knows his name!

I can’t wait for you guys to follow us on our journey!

These gorgeous girls tackled downtown Portland, mudbay, the max, waterfront and more. They happily demonstrated recalls, down stays with distractions, and so much more.

E collars are your invisible leash, not a torture device.

Whenever we hear folks talk about them like they’re these inhumane pieces of equipment, it just shows the lack of knowledge about them.

And ultimately, this fear around the tool is what’s hindering so many dog owners and dogs.

When you learn how to properly condition and train on a remote collar, your world expands.

Your dog gets more freedom.

You can have silent and impactful conversations with your dog

E collars are basically a leash that isn’t attached to you, so you can keep your dog safe in any given moment.

There are probably a thousand different ways to use e collars, but fully training your dog to understand them in multiple contexts is really the kindest thing you could ever do for them.

Eventually the tool just becomes like your seatbelt in the car. Just sits there, doing nothing, but when push comes to shove… it’s there for you when it’s needed.

We don’t train dogs to comply because they’ve been “shocked” (another huge lie out there)

We train dogs to listen to verbal cues first and foremost.

The remote collar just supplements the work and the thousands of repetitions it took to teach the dog in the first place. It’s an additional step in the process. Not a “lazy way out.”

People often love the results but hate the process. Meanwhile, dogs and owners are having a great time knowing they have full off leash control and reliability 🙌🏻

😂😂 don’t knock it til you try it.

E collars are so much more than just a button to push. They’re actually extremely sophisticated pieces of equipment that take a ton of time and practice to master.

E collars are by no means a short cut. They’re actually an additional level of training.

You can have basic obedience on leash, but remote collar training is supplemental to that, and it takes usually 3 additional phases of training in order for you and your dog to become fluent in the language.

Remote collar training might just be the best communication device out there for training your dog. It can be a conversation and it can be a consequence. The remote is so dynamic in its uses, there’s really nothing else like it.

Did you know that playgrounds are great for confidence building? The different surfaces and textures can cause uncertainty for some pups but with time, patience and some work they can master these otherwise difficult obstacles, come out feeling more certain, and leave a bit more confident.
