Pocket Full of Rosie's Meet Rosie! Rosie was saved by Best Friends Pet Adoption and this is her journey. Rosie came to us on December 17, 2016. This is no place for any dog to live.

We were honored to be asked to foster this sweet girl that was scheduled to be euthanized had she not been adopted out of the shelter. She had been living outside with a roof over her head but no walls. Temperatures were below freezing many nights. We were not told that she could be pregnant but we suspected it when we brought her home. The pregnancy was confirmed by the vet on Monday December 19,

2016. In the first few days, she was already comfortable with our entire family including our two dogs Biscuit and Sky (both rescues age 2.5). With the holidays approaching quickly and plans already set in place for travel by car, our family brought Rosie along for the ride. She did amazing! She met several of our family members and loved being loved by each and every one of them. She continued to grow daily but her playful and loving demeanor told us she wasn't ready to deliver these pups quite yet. Luckily we arrived back home on Wednesday January 4, 2017 after 2 weeks of celebrations and additional love. She did great once again in the car not making a sound. Upon arrival home, everything seemed normal with no signs of upcoming labor. That evening though, she started to pull on the carpet as if to nest. I kept thinking we had another week at least and didn't think much of it. By morning her demeanor had changed. Nesting was in action, heavier breathing and teeth shown to the other dogs. Rosie was clearly in labor now. The volunteers with BFPA jumped into action making sure I had everything I needed for the upcoming delivery. I was in contact with several of them during the day updating them on her progress. They allowed me to stay calm and collected for Rosie while they rushed to action so I wouldn't have to. What a huge relief! At around 5:25 Thursday evening, the delivery process began. This is Rosie's story, the video recording as much of the process as I could, pictures of the new puppies as the grow and develop and a place where you can share in the love of this sweet girl and her Pocket Full of Rosie's.

It’s been a while since I’ve checked in. I’m a little grayer around the face, but the same best girl from 7 years ago. How are all my pups?! I’m still an only dog for now, but my mom keeps talking about adding a fur sibling. She already brought home a skin puppy two legged sibling two years ago so tbd on the fur one. Much love to all!! ❤️❤️❤️
