Ever wonder what makes orange cats so special? Spoiler alert: It’s in their DNA! 🧬 Let’s break it down. 👇
🐾 1. 80% of orange cats are BOYS. Why? The orange gene is linked to the X chromosome. Males only need ONE copy to be orange, but females need TWO! That’s why ginger girls are rare!
🐾 2. No such thing as a solid orange cat. Every single orange cat is a tabby—even if their stripes are faint. The gene for solid orange fur? It doesn’t exist.
🐾 3. Freckles, freckles everywhere! 🐯 A lot of orange cats get little black spots on their nose, lips, and gums as they grow. It’s called lentigo—and yes, it’s 100% adorable.
🐾 4. Orange cats = extra social? 🤔 Studies suggest male orange cats tend to be friendlier and bolder than other cats. Coincidence? Science says maybe not!
🐾 5. Some are bright orange, some are creamy. Why? It’s all about pheomelanin, the pigment that creates orange fur. Some cats have more, some have less. That’s why you see different shades of ginger!

🐾 9. They might live longer? 🧐 Some research suggests coat color could be linked to lifespan. Bigger size = survival advantage. But at the end of the day, health matters more than fur color!

Dogs, those furry companions that brighten our lives, live a fraction of the lifespan humans do. Yet, they seem to possess an extraordinary ability to find happiness in the simplest of moments, teaching us invaluable lessons about living life with boundless optimism and joy.

It’s often said that dogs are among the happiest creatures or animals, and their unwavering enthusiasm for life can serve as a profound reminder for us humans to appreciate the beauty in every moment.

We have to admire their innate ability to fully immerse themselves in the present . Whether playing or resting they give their full attention to each moment, reminding us to savour life as it unfolds, rather than constantly looking ahead or dwelling in the past ...

What are the easiest colors for a dog to see?

As we've previously mentioned, dogs have dichromatic vision.

Colors such as red or green will be perceived as a shade of gray.

Therefore, blue or yellow are the easiest colors for dogs to see and the most attractive colors for them to see.

Red, green and orange, have more of a grayish brownish hue. ~Excerpt from Animalwised

While most of our pups toys are blue or yellow, we have some red ones to challenge her sense of smell and vision.

The weather in N.H. is presently unsafe! The wind is 'fierce' with white out conditions!! We just had a huge pine tree UPROOT and fall just behind our dog's yard. Please keep our fur babies on a long leash for potty breaks. ♥
