I have to give a huge shout-out to Total Recall K9 & the wonderful staff......this is my boy Scoobie & when he was a tiny ball of fur, I had his nails trimmed & one was cut way too short & from then on, he would go crazy & viciously bite you, if you even touched his paws ...but look at him now, after being worked with by the trainers, you can touch his paws & now they're working on getting him used to a nail grinder being touched to his nails, he's still touchy, but ohhh my goodness has he came A LONG WAYS!!!! 😊 I'm so proud of him & the trainers for where he's at now & the end goal will hopefully be us being able to actually grind his nails down!!! It's a work in progress but they're getting there!! If you need any training for your furbabies, I highly recommend them!! ❤️

ATTENTION: I can't say this enough.... it's too hot outside for your dogs to be out for more than 10-20 mins at a time & they need fresh cool water at all times while outside!!! Heat stroke is very common & very dangerous for these babies!!! The information below is from a vet, Dr. Edie Oliver & tons of other vets have said the same thing!! 🤨 You don't have to rehome your dog just because you think you don't have time for it anymore or it's a working breed, there's tons of stuff to keep them mentally & physically stimulated such as providing it with plenty of exercise & mental stimulation before you leave for work will help it settle while you're at work & then again when you get home!! Like putting on a harness & leash & taking it for a safe walk around the neighborhood letting it smell everything!! Then, organize treasure hunts before leaving for work, hide its kibble around inside the house so that it will need to use its nose to find them. You can have it hold a down/stay while you're hiding these around & then release it when it's time for you to leave so as to build up some anticipation. Serve its meal in a Kong Wobbler, food puzzles are designed to hide kibble/treats so that it can smell them, but needs to figure out how to get them out. Kong Wobblers are great because it will work for its kibble & it will take some time to get it all out, also frozen Kongs are a great mental challenge too, you can stuff them with different foods & you can find a lot of recipes online. Kong also sells edible sprays in yummy flavors (think doggy cheese whiz) to fill them up with but for a longer-lasting treat, soak some kibble in water & then stuff a Kong with it (maybe along with some canned dog food of the same type/brand or some xylitol-free peanut butter) & then freeze it for a couple of hours. Since the Kong is frozen, it will take sometime for its contents to thaw & for it to get all the goodies out. Since it's summer, you can offer other frozen treats, like fill up an ice cube tray & place one of its favorite treats in the middle of each cube before freezing & once the water freezes, the treat will be frozen inside the ice cube so it will need to lick the cube to get to it. Also give it a long lasting chew like huge Himalayan cheese chews, they last awhile, there's also treat dispensing devices & play some calming music while you're gone. If you have friends with dogs that it gets along well with, you can ask them to stop by to pick it up & walk it along with them & organize a play date where you can drop it off for a fun play day with its best buddies before you head out for work. Or get a dog walker while you're at work, especially since it's summer & school is out there's teenagers or teachers that can walk it & make a little extra cash for the summer!! The goal is to mentally & physically stimulate it, it really doesn't take much but a little effort & walk it on a harness & leash in the morning & when you get home!! It doesn't do any good to just turn a dog loose to roam outside, it's not achieving anything, you have to be involved with walks & playtime!! Rehoming a dog just because you think you don't have time for it, is a cop out, it takes 10-20 minutes of training or interaction in the morning & evening, they sleep most of the day when you're gone & are happy when you get home to snuggle at bedtime!! Please SHARE SHARE SHARE, there's too many owners rehoming their dogs & millions dying in shelters & rescues are full & overwhelmed!! Keep your dog!! ♥️

ATTENTION: These are the temps for tomorrow - Wed... please do not leave your dogs outside for more than 10-15 minutes at a time, make sure they have plenty of shade & FRESH CLEAN COLD WATER at all times, even if you have to change it every 30 mins, they deserve to have it!! If you can't stand in the Sun for long, neither can they, it's worse because they have fur & if you wouldn't drink the water in their bucket, they shouldn't have to either!!! Heat stroke is very common for dogs when caregivers do not pay attention & be ahead of the game!!! Remember, if you can't handle it, neither can they!!! Protect them & keep them safe at all times!! Does anyone have room for a foster?? Maybe you're thinking of getting your child a puppy, how about fostering a dog for a trial run to see if your child is indeed ready for a pet & if not then you know ahead of time to wait awhile longer & you're not out anything & you gain the experience of having a pet, the knowledge that your child isn't ready for a pet just yet & it's free because the rescue supplies EVERYTHING that the dog needs while you foster it & gain the things you need!! 💔 My heart is just shattered into a million pieces because of how horrible the animal welfare is in this country!! Every other post is either rehoming, lost or found, shelters begging for rescues & rescues begging for fosters & donations, why? I'll tell you why.... First, people do not take being the guardian of an animal as seriously as they should, they're getting pets for their kids, they're getting them for special occasions, they're adopting them without doing their research & when all those reasons show them they're not suited for a pet, they rehome, throw them outside or take them to the shelter!!! Secondly, owners are so irresponsible, they don't spay/neuter their pets, which leads to them escaping to look for a mate, then cause unwanted babies to add to the overpopulation & you have backyard breeders trying to make money off these babies, get a job instead!!! Third, People don't do breed research before getting them so they can be prepared for what that breed needs to be happy & not destructive & then they have to get rid of them!!! Lastly, owners aren't taking being a guardian to an animal as a LIFELONG COMMITMENT as they're supposed to, they just throw them away like disposable trash!!! So, always research everything about the animals before getting any, always take it as seriously as it is & as a LIFELONG COMMITMENT, plan ahead for IF you have a baby, find a new home, get a partner or moving far away...these animals go with you even when you have kids, get married, move away or have financial hardship....find a way to keep them just as you would a two legged baby!! Foster before you adopt to make sure you & your family are ready to have a furry family member!!!! SPAY & NEUTER, Keep them on a harness & leash when outside, never leave them outside unattended & if you can't do ALL those things....don't get an animal to begin with!! 😔 Please SHARE SHARE SHARE!!

Update: Star unfortunately has passed away despite our efforts. 😭💔

We believe he likely had a stroke or possibly meningitis. He had significant neurological impairments that had an abrupt and sudden onset.

We do have a remaining balance with the ER Vet we need to pay today and are wanting to have him cremated as we believe he absolutely deserves this.

Please help donate if you’re able so we can put him to rest . Our hearts are broken and our eyes are hurting from all of the tears we’ve cried.

Keep Chloe & Letti in your prayers today & also in the coming days ahead. We wish that love would have been enough to save him. He was the bestest boy.
