Do you all remember the bubble twins ?? The most spoilt duo ever to be born as they happened upon the global pandemic. Where are they now?? Well little miss Bramm is living her best life in her pj's and miss eden is waiting on her 'bubbles' to arrive - hands down the best thing to come out of covid these girls!!working with Boromir Bull Terriers is the best!

We had a little sleep over at our friends Boromir Bull Terriers on the left in this photo is coda she is a 3 year old miniature bred by boromir. On the right is our girl from our last litter Juniper at 1 year 3 weeks. This is a very good illustration of how different the breeds should be in size.

As we embark on our first show weekend for a while it seems fitting that this memory came up. This is our first bull terrier Ch.Boromir Stormchaser of sleek ROM ~Cloud~ The most perfect gentleman and best babysitter anyone could ask for! Hope his grandkid, great grandkids and great great grandkids are making him proud!

Have you ever had a bully that trances? Our first bully the infamous Cloud trance his way through a large part of his life - causing us much amusement! We think this is one of the reasons he was so trustworthy inside- he spent his life being distracted by the curtains! His great granddaughter flame shows the tracing gene is strong! The "trance-a-bull" lives on

My purchase of a well-bred purebred dog does not condemn another dog to death.
My purchase of a well-bred purebred dog does not result in an uptick in the shelter dogs.
My desire to have a dog with predictable temperament from a healthy line does not result in another dog not getting adopted at the shelter.
My careful research on the most responsible breeders who meet all requirements is not the problem. It's not what you should be mad at.
It's not who you should blame.

I am not the one who irresponsibly brought these dogs into this world and left them in a shelter. Responsible breeders aren't the ones bringing these dogs to animal shelters either.

It's my home, my life and my choice what kind of dog I want to bring in. Maybe I need a working dog, sport dog, show dog or just a companion dog of a certain breed that suits me best.

Whatever reason I choose to support a reputable breeder, it will not send an animal protection dog to death.
A breeder who does health tests, temperament tests and titling of their dogs does not contribute to the number of stray dogs.

The number of stray dogs in the world is a problem, but it's not a problem made worse by reputable breeders or those who buy from them.
Your neighbor who gets a "purebred" dog without papers because they're cheap is contributing to the problem.
Your friend who spontaneously bought a puppy from Petland is contributing to the problem.
The person scrambling to pump out the hottest designer mix ASAP is contributing to the problem.
Your relatives who have to get their dog covered once, "so she can experience what it's like to be a mother" or because "she's such a good/cute/sweet girl" are contributing to the problem.
Your old school mate who bought a working dog with lots of energy without taking the time to research its needs and character who ultimately sees it doesn't fit his lifestyle is the problem.

A reputable breeder offers lifetime support. A serious breeder would never allow their dogs to end up in a shelter from the start.
It's understandable to be angry about the number of homeless dogs in the world, but if you look closer, you'll find that your anger is misplaced.

Tonight at our agm I was honored to recieve life membership to the North Island Bull Terrier Club (NZ) - there isn't a more passionate driven bunch of people advocating for our breed than these folks - and I am proud to have been a small part of it.
I learned so much about breeding healthy dogs with great temperaments from my mentors in this club.
If you are looking for a puppy or an older dog join the nibtc - you'll receive bulletins with lots of interesting information, come along to the shows and hang out with like minded people 💖

A tuckered out "treeo" after having a good chew on some cows ears from Hyde's Petfood they have also had scapula and trachea - all well recieved and great for tiring out puppies. All this rain has ment alot of indoor time to keep them amused. Thank dog for hydes quality natural chews - saving many an exploding toy or bed! Chewing is a natural behavior which releases endorphins ( happy feelings) so it's actually very important. Equally if you would like a dog that is pleasant to live with - provide him or her with quality treats. Quality chews will save your shoes!

Lets talk nail trimming! This little grinder arrived on the doorstep today. I didn't hold much hope with the price point - but it seems excellent! Team it up with a doggie lift and nails have never been easier!

It's been an exciting 12days at Bulltanica. NZ Ch. Bulltanica Winter Flame blessed us with 3 babies. 2 boys and 1 girl. For this mating we used frozen semen from English champion and multi in show Winner Ch Ollibrad some might say. ❤️ Nice work Jepson and Flame ❤️
It's been a long time between litters and I'm sorry for those of you chomping at the bit - none of these puppies will be available inside of 3 months old. I will be assessing them and eagerly awaiting adult teeth before I make any
decisions. These are very special puppies.
This is probably a hard thing for most people to understand. But it's the difference between breeding to create puppies and breeding to (hopefully) better the breed. It's almost impossible to asses the full potential of a puppy before he or she is 6-8 weeks old at the earliest. If anyone in anybreed tells you they can - they are taking an educated guess at best ( every puppy is full of promise) or they have a singleton litter- if there's only one it is definitely "the pick" 🤣
In the interest of furthering and improving the breed I hold onto them until I'm 💯 with my decision. This doesn't mean I have "less of an eye for a dog" it means I have the breed that I treasure in the forefront of my mind - and will put in the work to do my part in turning out well rounded puppies who will further the breed.
Please feel free to message me with a bio on what kind of life you can offer a puppy - but please don't insult me by asking for the "runt for cheap" I am up every few hours supervising feeds and my dogs /puppies are fed a premium diet - we don't have runts. We have well bred bull terrier puppies.

"How do you let the puppies go to homes? You must be so sad! " The answer is yes ofcourse! I cry everytime!!! Then you get photos like this and realize this, THIS is why we go through the joys and the heartaches-to give people a little piece of our hearts to add to thiers.
