and the dogs passed Ruunaa Race 2025, 100km’s sled dog race in Finland! Suuuper gang!!

Team: Ilamna X Tugar American Design, Ilamna Goshen Kisses With Umppalumpan & Ilamna Hero Of Our Time (owner ) +Lollipop Vasilyev Ostrov, who did 2/3 of the race, then Eero decided to drop her off from the last day, since she couldn’t keep up with the speed of the youngsters. Wise decision 👌🏽

This picture means so much to me.. 🙏🏽 One of Gabby’s U.S.A national winning pictures. Me, Gabby and her sire Tyson’s breeder & owner and my dear friend and mentor Kathy.

Next spring it will be 22 years since I started my journey with malamutes. I still consider myself as a new person in the breed and especially as a new breeder.
Us, ”the new people” owe so much to the people who made the decision to breed the dogs in our dog pedigrees so at this moment we could have the ones in our homes. Without them there would not be a future for us.

It easy to drown and go blind while collecting ribbons, and measure the value of a dog from the amount of trophies in our showcases. It’s easy to not care about the history and just go with the flow. It’s easy to forget the VERY important value of mentoring while seeking a short time of fame.
Right now, us, the ”new generation” should really just sit down and listen to the ones who are sitting on so much knowledge. We owe it to them and we owe it to this breed.
Like Socrates once said ”the only true wisdom is knowing you know nothing”.

We had a great sunday at Nordic dog show, Riihimäki!
Caspian, aka. Ilamna X Tugar American Design went best of breed from 17 malamutes and later on reserve best in group! Thank you for handling Caspian in the group 🩷

Tyson & Loli kids from Loli’s second litter. At the end of this year (or beginning of 2025) we will breed Loli for the last time and hope 🤞for as wonderful kids as these are 😍

Last weekend we participated to a different kind of a competition🫣 was once again suuuuper fun (& muddy & wet lol!!)😎💦

Aina sitä on mielenkiintoista seurailla koirien säkäkorkeuksia! Tänään meillä oli kotimittauspäivä, kun tajusin ”pikku” Caspianin ehkä menneen Malikin ohi. Malik on rakenteeltaan hyvin vahvaluustoinen, suuripäinen, rungoltaan isänsä kaltaisesti pidempi ja muutenkin melkoinen mötikkä, Caspian taas lyhyempirunkoinen ja (ainakin vielä) kapeapäisempi.
Niin se mittatikku sitten paljasti:
Caspian 65cm
Malik 64,5cm

Äitikoira ja sisko Gabby pääsivät mitan alle myös:
Loli 57cm (ehkä jopa 56,5cm)
Gabby 60cm

Memory from three years ago🌟 When Loli gained her International champion title. She received her first cacib from the first possible show as well as her last one, being in her bikini style in that one🙈❣️
She’s a one in million, and now I have a secret to reveal..
We are planning to breed her for the last time from her november/december season🐶 The litter will be her third and her ”new husband” is something spetacular😍👌🏽
