This time of year is always crazy busy for us! We start the busy season in September, as salmon season gets going, then roll into pumpkin season after halloween, then turkey season - all the while participating in events and festivals, prepping for the holidays and still picking up from the multitude of small farms and businesses we piggyback with! We don't have any spare time to waste!

On A Mission To Reduce Food Waste!

PIGGYBACKER'S PROMISE We promise to always stick to our mission: REDUCE FOOD WASTE. We will always work with other local businesses and small, family run farms to reduce food waste by RESCUING usable, human-grade food items! These foods will always be in usable condition! We will not buy items which could be sold by farms or businesses to their general customer-base easily. We look in unusual places, think outside the box and consistently challenge our ability to be creative - using foods in new, clever ways! We build relationships with local businesses and small family farms by offering a simple solution to remove excess, usable foods which take up space, aren’t needed, and can’t be sold for lack of access to consistent buyers. We rescue items which are destined for landfill or compost.

We will replicate our concept around the country, always with a focus on reducing waste! We hire local individuals to work in our company to sell for us and chefs to cook for us. We strive to create jobs which leave individuals feeling fulfilled, joyful and give each person a meaningful existence within our company!

We stand firm on our belief that we ARE making a difference this way!

The main ingredient in each of our treats will ALWAYS be rescued from going to waste!
