Benson came to us with an unexpected surprise: a very large bladder stone. Poor girl had been running the streets alone and in pain for months.
She was immediately taken to the vet the day she arrived when we noticed blood in her urine. She was diagnosed and had surgery four days later.
Benson is healing quickly and loving her new forever home.
As you can see from the X-rays, that stone was massive.

During renovations at her forever home, Wallace discovered a new talent.
Wallace was found under a barn in north Louisiana and was transported to one of our volunteers. She (yes, she) was only two weeks old when she arrived and was missing a back foot. Wallace’s caretaker took her to work every day and nursed her back to health.

Morris came to us from the Brownsville area with four twisted legs and tail, all of which we believe to be deformities.

He doesn’t let his disability stop him. He turns his legs in a way that allows him to walk and goes all over the house, interacting with other cats with similar issues.
Morris is very vocal and will tell you all the gossip of the day.

Sid is a big handsome boy from Pvac that came in with some nasty injuries.
Whether the injuries were from trauma or abuse, we will never know however, we are pleased to report his wounds are healing up nicely!
Sid is one of the best natured guys, despite what he’s been through, but he was very unimpressed over this entire picture taking event

Lil Donnie came from the valley/border area with his mom and siblings
Mom and siblings were all adopted to their forever homes but since Lil Donnie is paralyzed, he lives with us on the hill.
He spends his days playing, racing around, and showing off.

Meet Selma, a Houston kitty that was living on the streets with a injured paw
After being fully evaluated by our vet (X-rays, etc.) she was diagnosed with an old paw injury and we were so happy she would not need an amputation.
After being spayed and vaccinated Selma now lives with my personal kitties.
She spends her days on the large picture window seat relaxing and watching the wildlife.
No more outside elements or more searching for food or shelter.
Forever safe and loved.

Jazzy came to us at 2 weeks old with paralyzed back legs.
She would tip over while feeding so Teresa would put her in a bowl to keep her stable.
She’s 5 1/2 months old now and thriving.
Mira, our 2 legged girl, has adopted Jazzy as her own

This is Miss Poisy
She came to us from local AC shelter
The shelter just couldn’t euthanize her so they reached out to us.
The vet thinks she chewed an electrical wire, causing the damage to her mouth and nose. Unfortunately, this is permanent but she is In zero pain and her wound is tended to and kept moist multiple times a day.
She’s absolutely gorgeous and a very happy girl.

Her name is Cher (Sharon)
Her tail was amputated after a injury
Her finder deemed her adoptable but after many attempts at adoption events where she would freak out and strike at people we decided she would live with us
She’s not a fan of other cats
Her favorite place is her personal bed on my dryer
I’m the only one that can pet her as she strikes anyone else
She zooms through the house for fun

For those not familiar with us we are a special needs 501c3 with several volunteers and fosters and a small staff that lives on the property. Any healthy cats or kittens that land in our care are normally transferred to other rescues that do adoption. Rescues of which we work closely with and trust. All are evaluated at intake and are fully vetted.

He keeps her company
Mira suffered with 2 mangled back legs from a car engine
After being found in a dumpster covered in maggots
She was put in the care of Saving Hope and their vet
She unfortunately lost both back legs
She’s definitely lived up to her name Miracle which I shortened to Mira
Mira is now in our care
We will update on both these cuties
