Hi 👋 friends,

hope you’re staying cool this summer. It’s been so hot this month in FL.

Mylo started the month of June with a couple of seizures. He experienced four in one day which was probably one of the most stressful and exhausting days for him and us. Thankfully, his medication was adjusted and he hasn’t had a seizure since early June. We also introduced MCT oil.

One thing we’ve learned on this journey is that strict routines are important to keep his stress level at bay. Both good and bad stress can trigger seizures, so we really try to keep his environment calm and as stress free as possible.

We are still new to idiopathic epilepsy and hope that our latest regimen sticks.

Does your pup have idiopathic epilepsy ? If so, what’s worked to control seizure frequency? 🐾

Hello friends 👋 it’s been a while since we last shared an update on here. Coco’s passing left a void in my heart that made it very difficult to continue updating this account. He was my companion for 11 years and to suddenly lose that was devastating. With time, I’ve been able to heal by reminiscing our memories together and appreciating all that he taught me in life about the human and bunny connection. Although he was quiet, he taught me so many lessons in life and I’m grateful for all of it.

Fast forward one year later, a lot has happened. Our dog, Mylo was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy last October. Since then it’s been a roller coaster of emotions trying to navigate and adjust our lives to his diagnosis. We’ve gone through countless hospitalizations, trialed different medications, foods, and so much more. It hasn’t been an easy journey, but we still manage to find joy in the moments where he makes us laugh, has zoomies, and enjoys life as a pup. He’s truly a motivation for me. His will power to push through life despite his condition, makes me honored to have been chosen as his mama.

Carlitos 🦜 is still well despite his naked body. We’ve had some issues with him pulling blood feathers and ER visits, but he’s still talking and lively at age 24! So incredible.

Although this account was mainly dedicated to Coco, I want to continue sharing updates about Carlitos and Mylo. I want to be able to connect with others who have experienced dealing with Idiopathic Epilepsy and hopefully provide support for one another.

Anyway, long story short, I’ve missed posting here and hope that you will join us in this new journey of our lives.

Love,
Mama 🙋🏽‍♀️, Baba 🙋🏻‍♂️, Mylo 🐕‍🦺, and Carlitos 🦜

Welcome!

Hi everybun,

My name is Coco and I was born on December 24, 2011, that makes me 7 years young! I am a bunny boy that lives with his hoomins and sibling, Carlitos the Quaker Parrot. Some of my hobbies include doing bunny 500’s, sleeping under Carlitos’ cage and eating the scraps that fall from his cage. When I’m done being mischievous, I enjoy munching on cilantro and papaya (hoomin says its good for my tummy).

RIP to my sister Pumpkin who passed away in 2019. She was 15 years old and her memory will live forever in our hearts.
