Our Story
My name is Kirra and I created the Fur N Feather name. This small business started out from my passion for animals of all sizes from a very young age.
From the moment I was born I always had pets surrounding me as I got older, I was actively involved with breeding our English Staffies with my parents. As a family we have been breeding for over 10 years now and this has given me so much experience in the process of it all. But wait, my love for animals didn’t stop there.
Through school I completed my Cert II in Animal Studies where I was taken in by Greencross Vets and trained as a vet nurse in their clinic. This branched from routine consultations and surgeries, to reproductive/breeding work and even running hematology reports in our in-clinic lab.
Since leaving school, I have volunteered with multiple vet clinics (unfortunately not being able to land a permanent position due to needing my Cert IV in Vet Nursing), volunteered with the RSPCA and have been involved with animals all the time. 2019 is a rest year for me to focus on the business and get myself where I need to be before I go into my Bachelor of Veterinary Technology and Cert IV in Vet Nursing in 2020.
