Thank you for the memorial. We will forever miss Cusco and ChaCha Charlie. Thank you also, for Dr. Carrier's tenderness in helping Charlie Bird go privately and humanely.

The best way for a moving larger plants out for the summer
Remember that CEO who took a pay cut so he could pay all his employees a minimum wage of $70,000? Here’s what happened next:
“Six years later after the decision that others said would destroy his business, Dan reports that revenue has tripled, the customer base has doubled, 70% of his employees have paid down debt, many bought homes for the first time, 401(k) contributions grew by 155% and turnover dropped in half. His business is now a Harvard Business School case study.”
In his own words:
“6 years ago today I raised my company's min wage to $70k. Fox News called me a socialist whose employees would be on bread lines.
Since then our revenue tripled, we're a Harvard Business School case study & our employees had a 10x boom in homes bought.

Charlie Bird - Fly high, handsome! You were a fantastic ambassador - always gentle, happy, friendly, and a healing presence. You will be missed, more than you know.
I'd do this in a heartbeat. I've even considered rocking in my yard. My grandparents home in Sedona, Az., had a 3-leaf clover design plus a large cactus bed.
Talk about camouflage!!
We have several GREAT pet birds up for adoption. All of these their prior owners were no longer able to care for them because of physical health.
PM us for more info.
I did not know this. I have local honey in my tea. Alway using a metal spoon 🥄
Did you know that one of the world's first coins had a bee symbol?
Did you know that honey contains live enzymes?
Did you know that in contact with a metal spoon, these enzymes die? The best way to eat honey is with a wooden spoon; if you can't find one, use a plastic spoon.
Did you know that honey contains a substance that helps the brain work better?
Did you know that honey is one of the few foods on earth that alone can sustain human life?
Did you know that bees saved people from starvation in Africa?
That a spoonful of honey is enough to keep a man alive for 24 hours?
Did you know that propolis produced by bees is one of the most powerful natural antibiotics?
Did you know that honey has no expiry date?
Did you know that the bodies of the world's greatest emperors were buried in gold coffins, then covered in honey to prevent putrefaction?
Did you know that the term "Honeymoon" (honeymoon) comes from the fact that the bride and groom consumed honey for fertility after their marriage?
Did you know that a bee lives less than 40 days, visits at least 1000 flowers and produces less than a teaspoon of honey, but for her it is the work of a lifetime.
Thank you to all who provide us with honey💖
Before & After pictures of Bubo's right eye. The pictures don't do enough justice to the dramatic difference.
Thank you again to the incredibly skilled staff at Oklahoma State University for all of their care and hard work in making this happen.
Bubo is healing well and 'looking forward' to clearly seeing the world without the cataract blocking his vision.
Thank you again to all of the generous donors that contributed for Bubo's procedure and making sure that he has the best life possible. We could not have done this without you!!!
BUBO HAD HIS SURGERY TODAY to remove the large cataract that was covering his right eye. He's doing well and I'm going to drive down to OSU (Ok. State Univ.) tomorrow to bring him home. I know they've enjoyed having him this past week. Unexpectedly the light on the microscope went out and they had to wait for a replacement. Then they only do surgeries on Wednesdays.
THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL THE DONORS who contributed to this. We couldn't have afforded this without your help. God Bless you all.
AAAGGGHHHHH! It appears the ophtalmologist's headlamp light (whatever it is called - similar apparatus) has stopped working at OSU. Bubo was already under anesthesia and just woke up a bit ago.
I don't know why they can't borrow or buy one...but they are going to wait for their 'repair' guy, who is out of the country, to return to fix it.
NOW WHAT? I don't want to drive down there, drive back (10 hours), stay overnight ($100 +), and drive down there again for Bubo's procedure on another day. They may have to keep him if it's not too long of a time?
Okay, well. The exam has been completed and his right eye has progressed to the point that we feel that surgery is finally warranted. His left eye is doing fine with no change. So we will get the surgery done on his right eye and that will happen tomorrow, which is Wednesday. He should be able to come home at the end of the week. We thank everyone for their support as well as their generous donations toward this effort in caring for Bubo.
We have Bubo in the exam right now at OSU. And they are evaluating his eyes. The surgery is planned for tomorrow, but we will know more about the plan shortly. Once the surgery is done, they will not release him until Thursday afternoon at the earliest. So we will have to come back and get him later in the week.

I started a GoFundMe page for a young man in Africa who does wildlife tours.
Sulayman lived in the same house he was born in. Recently it burned to the ground from a faulty electrical cord. His camera equipment was in the house at the time. His emotions have left him feeling shock, anger, depression, and hopelessness.
Please look at his photographs. If you enjoy them, please contribute to his GoFundMe page.

These are non-native sparrows, whose parents built nests inside our Martin house. This is the third time my husband cleaned the Spero nests out, but the first time I saw the babies on the ground. I cannot let something die. I do not want these babies. If you would like to learn how to hand feed or you would like to have these babies, please contact me. Please do not ask lots of questions here unless you are interested PM me. Again, it is legal for you to have these birds for pets because they are not from the US. You can see they are very easy to feed and there are four different sizes here if you have not fed before I will show you how to do it.
Wanna have some fun? Join us Tuesday morning in Blue Springs, Mo. at the Blue Springs South Mid Continent Public Library located at 2220 S. W. State Route 7, 10 am, for an amazing hour of bird fun. Our birds will blow you away with their skilled tricks, singing and talking.
