To celebrate, we present a rare glimpse of Bilbo's Search and Rescue training. He's learning the "victim alert": when he finds someone, he barks to alert the Hag. Cookies and games follow, of course.
The Padawan is doing well. I'm still the Master.

PANCAKES!!! (and Millie)

Millie visited again, so we celebrated with pancakes!

Competition time!!!
Guess who had 2 pancakes and whose belly ended up empty (Thorin, Millie, Bilbo).
The first person who gets it right can come up with a photo theme for me and Bilbo. We'll take the pic in April (no promises it will be good – the Hag's skills are limited).

A SQUIRE'S EDUCATION.
I taught Bilbo horseriding early on (I myself am quite an accomplished rider - see comment).

Gave him a short motivational speech:

"That is Shadowfax. He is the Chief of the Mearas, lord of horses, and not even Théoden, King of Rohan, has ever looked on a better. Does he not shine like silver and run as smoothly as a swift stream?"

Bilbo was a natural.

Yes. Two cairns AND another kayak.

Turns out Bilbo is quite the sea Wolf (well.. lake Wolf). I've therefore promoted myself to captain and Bilbo is now the deckhand.
