So very sad to see our darling Timo leave the sanctuary today. He has been with us since the start over 4 years ago. But unfortunately for him and his cushings we have too much grass, so today he left to go to a track system which will hopefully help him and his condition. I will miss this nose to kiss everyday, the sweetest kindest boy. Many tears shed and we wish him all his best with his new friends 💕

On Saturday we said welcome back to Ned. Whilst we love having him back it’s sad that at only ten he is being retired from riding life. But this is why I set up the sanctuary, so that horses can just be horses and live a full and enriching life with friends and lots of cuddles 💕 he’s very happy to be back out with the herd 🥰

It’s always bitter sweet when I say goodbye to one of the herd. Whilst I am sad Ned is leaving us, I am pleased that he is going to carry on his healing process in hope that he can go back to his dressage career. Good luck sweetheart, we will miss you, especially Scooby who has taken a real shine to handsome Ned 💕

First hay of the year for the horses. They do have plenty of grass, but it’s frosty and not good for their tummies and feet. So now they have a choice of what to eat 😋🥶💕

Yesterday the healing herd welcomed Ned into the gang. He is absolutely gorgeous and Sassy has taken a liking to him, what good taste she has. Here’s hoping magic Drydown grass heals this special boy, if not he can happily just chill with the gang 💕
