This sweet girl loves her snuggles and playtime. She’s great on walks, loves her toys, and is super chill in the car. Abbey is fully toilet trained, sleeps through the night, and knows some basic commands – she’s ready to show you how clever she is!

Affy has been waiting for a home for over 6 months!🏡

Affagato, or Affy as her friends call her, is a sweet and loving girl who enjoys cuddles and has the cutest teardrop mark on her forehead! She loves her daily walks, is great on a lead, and enjoys the occasional zoomie. After spending so many years in kennels, Affy deserves a warm and loving home where she can relax and enjoy life.

Affy gets along wonderfully with other greyhounds and would love a companion, but she’s also perfectly happy as a solo dog as long as you’re home often. Mornings are her favorite time—she wakes up happy, enjoys a little play, then heads out for her walk before relaxing for the rest of the day.

If you’re looking for a gentle, joyful companion to fill your life with love, Affy could be your perfect match. Let’s find her the forever home she’s been waiting for! 🐾❤️

🐾 Racing for a Cause - Across the Waters! 🐾🚣‍♂️

This week, the Massive Murray Paddle 🌊 – a grueling 415km marathon over 5 days – is in full swing! And this year, it’s extra special for Racing 2 Rehome. 💕🐕

Mike Kellogg has traveled all the way from the USA 🇺🇸 to paddle alongside James Miller 🇦🇺, raising awareness for greyhound adoption and promoting the incredible work of Racing 2 Rehome. 🎉✨

It’s a full-circle moment 🌍🐾, as the USA Greyhound Flight Program began back in 2019, thanks to James’ paddling competitions in the USA. While James was competing, our President, Bec, was busy meeting with American adoption groups and discovering the high demand for greyhounds as pets 🏡🐶. And the rest, as they say, is history! 💫

During his time in Australia, Mike has been fully immersed in the world of R2R – from behind-the-scenes action 🛠️🐕‍🦺 to meeting our superstar foster dog, Gina 🐕❤️. The dogs all think Mike is amazing, and Gina has been showing her appreciation with plenty of tail wags and cuddles! 🐕💕

Let’s cheer on James and Mike as they paddle their hearts out for this incredible cause! 🏆👏 Together, they’re making waves 🌊 for greyhounds, spreading the message of love and second chances across continents. 🐾💜

Our loveable foster R2R Lee is looking for her forever Humans.
Lee is a legend and has absolutely thrived in foster care.
She's a very sweet, affectionate, well mannered dog that is a delight to have around our home.
Lee knows furniture is off limits and happily stays in her very comfy bed all night. She enjoys her daily walks, car rides and coffee dates.
Currently living with another hound but is also ok with being left at home alone.

Affy enjoys her daily walks and is great on the lead. After years in kennels, Affy deserves a cozy home where she can relax and be adored. She gets along well with other greyhounds and would thrive in a home where someone is around often.

Well I'm sure all our R2R followers have been enchanted with our posts about Dog Lovers!

While many of you know Michelle Francazio in her role as R2R's Adoption Co-ordinator, she also took on the job of the organisation of R2R's volunteers, greyhounds, and all the gear for our stall at the Dog Lovers Festival.

There is so much work in setting up a multi-day event. So we wish to specially Thank her for running a very successful event!

Michelle has today headed off for a well-deserved sunny holiday and we wish her a lovely relaxing time to recoup from all her R2R work!

Racing 2 Rehome Incorporated is a not-for-profit volunteer run organisation, dedicated to the rescuing and rehoming of greyhounds throughout South East Gippsland and Melbourne. Our greyhounds come from Trainers kennels and are immediately fostered in private homes to learn about pet-life. We are completely volunteer run, so we welcome donations to support our work in rehoming as many greyhounds as we can manage. Donations over $2 are tax deductible.
