"This is all about grooming! I receive lots of compliments on my floof (thank you!) and some of our FAQs are regarding what brush we use and what our routine is.
Aside from a well-balanced diet, the grooming routine is most impawtent for healthy and beautiful floof! Mom has developed a daily routine to brush me since I was a smol pup. In the beginning, we tried many brushes. But, our go-to has been the Big G slicker brush -- the brush many doodle owners and groomers use. Use a comb to check your work.
When we brush daily, brushing sessions take 5 min, and I rarely have mats. On the rare occasions where Mom is away for several days, and Dad doesn't brush me, I start getting tangles, and then the brushing session will take 30+ min.
For doodles who hate getting brushed, I hear you. I was the same, and used to run from the brush. But, Mom kept the daily brushing routine up, with treats as positive reinforcement so I would get socialized and desensitized early on. It all started in 1996 with White on White, when, with chemistry and perseverance, Chris Christensen developed the first true color correcting shampoo for canines and felines. White on White was a catalyst in the evolution of canine coat care. The momentum that followed has allowed Chris Christensen Systems to bring you the finest show products ever available in the dog show and pet care worlds.
Founded and owned by Chris and Lisa Christensen, the company has steadily grown since its small beginnings as a one-car garage operation in Dallas, Texas. Twenty-two years later, Chris Christensen Systems now offers over 476 products with new products always in development.
Based in Fairfield, Texas, in a 30,000 square foot facility, the company is the largest employer in Fairfield, with 30 employees and growing.
The Chris Christensen core product line contains a large variety of products including: all-breed products, coat-specific products, intensive coat treatments, effective quick fixes, color enhancements, styling solutions, hand-crafted brushes and grooming tools, state-of-the-art shears, professional pet salon products, the most quiet force dryers available today, and durable D-Flite tack boxes.
With an average of 5 products in development at all times, our product line grows rapidly each year, and we have no intentions of slowing down. With every product created, Chris and Lisa insist that each product do what the label says it will do, one of the defining qualities that Chris Christensen Systems is known for - quality.
At Chris Christensen Systems, product creation is a group effort. Every single product idea we are given, or discover, has to pass a three question test: 1) Does this product serve a purpose for our customers? 2) Is there a product like this on the market? 3) If so, can we make it better? Once a product passes those three questions, the product is then subjected to countless hours of testing, trials, and prototypes, until it’s perfect.
Chris’ passion and excitement about a new product is always contagious. Chris and his wife Lisa, have nit-picked and demanded the best of each and every product, from the very start.
Chris Christensen Systems proudly manufactures Kool Dry force dryers, D-Flite tack boxes, and over 80% of our liquid products at our facility in Fairfield, Texas.
