Over the last few weeks, we noticed something we didn’t plan for.
Stride started being downloaded and used in many different countries — quietly, without any campaign.
Different languages.
Different realities.
Same need.
Horses still train, work, compete, get injured — everywhere.
And objective tools shouldn’t depend on subscriptions, sensors, or an internet connection.
Stride was designed to work offline, on the phone in your pocket.
At first, it was a technical choice.
It turns out it’s also a meaningful one.
Thank you to everyone using Stride in real-life conditions.
This is exactly why it exists.

This week, I’m travelling to meet academic teams interested in discussing objective gait analysis and the use of smartphone-based tools in equine biomechanics.

The goal is simple: exchange perspectives, challenge methods, and explore how on-device, offline analysis like Stride could fit into research and clinical workflows.

Looking forward to constructive discussions.

🔍 Objective gait analysis is not about a single number.

In trot, meaningful interpretation comes from analysing movement patterns — not isolated values.

By combining vertical motion of the head, withers, and pelvis, it becomes possible to better distinguish primary lameness, compensatory movement, and subtle asymmetry.

Objective data does not replace the clinical exam — it supports it.

In equine practice, gait assessment remains a key — and often subjective — part of clinical decision-making.
This week, I’ll be releasing Stride, a smartphone-based tool designed to support objective gait asymmetry analysis in horses.
The goal is not to replace clinical judgment, but to support it with standardized, repeatable measurements — directly on the phone.
Available on the App Store January 8.

🐎 A new approach to objective equine gait analysis

As equine professionals, we all aim to detect movement asymmetries as early as possible, before they develop into significant lameness.

Stride is a new tool currently in development that analyses equine movement directly on a smartphone — fully offline and without sensors.

The goal is to make objective gait assessment more accessible, both in clinical practice and in daily horse management.

🚀 Public launch planned for January
