Miss Millie is looking to be adopted! When her owner could no longer care for her, we stepped in and saved Millie. She is now wanting to find her forever home! Millie is as sweet as pie and just so happy! She’s about 2 years old and petite at about 10 pounds. We think she’s a Westie/chi mix. Millie is crate trained and potty pad trained. She walks well on a leash and would enjoy a yard to play in.

Adonis is about 3 years old and was rescued from the euthanasia list at the Devore shelter. He is a fairly calm, mellow boy. He seems to enjoy just lounging around. He was fostered with 2 other cats and did very well, one of them Loretta had taken quite a liking to him. Loretta bonds very quickly to calm mellow male cats. During his vet exam and testing we discovered he is FIV +. Research shows that FIV cats can live long, healthy lives with good nutrition and routine veterinary care. They can also live safely in homes with other non-FIV cats.

Some of the myths and rumors about FIV....

Myth: My other cats will get FIV from eating out of the same bowls or sleeping with a FIV+ cat.

Truth: FIV is only transmitted through blood transfusions or serious penetrating bite wounds, or in*******se.

Myth: Cats with FIV don’t live long and require special care.

Truth: Many FIV+ cats live long, healthy lives. They can live their entire life without ever coming down with any symptoms of FIV.

Welcome Millie! Through no fault of her own, Miss Millie was relinquished to us as an owner surrender. The owner was sad to give her up but knew it was for the best - she raised her since she was a puppy. Millie will now be looking for her forever home and to be adopted. She is about 2 years old, 6 pounds, and a female cairn terrier. She is super sweet and friendly from what we know of her so far!
