Charlie 2 years post orthopedic surgeries
We received this short video update today, 2 years after Charlie's second cruciate ligament repair surgery (3 years after her first). Charlie's momma is a single mom who was diagnosed with Lymphoma 5 years ago. Despite having overwhelming medical bills and appointments at the time of her first injury, she did everything she was advised to do with conservative treatment routes including pool therapy and months of crate rest with no improvement. Charlie was an extremely active dog, trained in advanced obedience and agility through SOTC, so exercise restriction was stressful for both of them. The amazingly gifted, kind and generous Dr. Kirsch helped us with both of these surgeries back then and we are thrilled to learn she is still zooming years later! #wherearetheynow #happilyeverafters
Titus' momma is disabled and he helps her in a profound way. After his hip popped out of the socket repeatedly, she spent all she had on his ER care and consult with a specialist. Surgery was the only option so she shared this message with us: "I pray that you will be able to help Titus and myself, I need him probably more that he needs me, I have TIAs and he has helped save my life many times by letting me know before I know that i'm having one, therefore allowing me to make it to the hospital in time."
Titus had an FHO and patella luxation repair surgery 3 weeks ago thanks to your donations and our grant for senior dogs from The Grey Muzzle Organization! Here he is receiving one of his post-op cold laser treatments to help speed healing at Animal Clinic of the Humane Society of Sarasota County. #ageisnotadisease

His cruciate surgery was made possible thanks to our grant for senior dogs from The Grey Muzzle Organization! <3
Charlie post-op 1 month
This sweet senior staffy had an orthopedic surgery thanks to our grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization and the generosity of Coastal Veterinary Surgical Specialists!! She was in a lot of pain and went from being an active agility dog to depressed and restricted from all her fave doggie activities. We received this heartwarming update from Charlie's mom today: "I was walking Charlie yesterday evening. As I was watching her I noticed there is less and less limping. Look at the wiggle in her walk and that huge smile on her face. No longer a depressed pup. You can tell this little girl has no pain and is very happy. Again, I just can’t say it enough, thank you."
