We are 100% Non-Profit and solely depend on YOUR DONATIONS! Blackjack Animal Rescue & Catahoula Connection is a 501c3 organization. Our primary mission is to rescue catahoulas, catahoula mixes and other breed animals from kill shelters in the southeast. We are an all breed rescue currently utilizing foster homes. Our primary goal is to reduce the deaths and suffering of animals that we are aware o

f in our sphere of influence. This is accomplished by providing rescue and spay/neuter, as well as providing needed vet care. We are always in need of foster homes, fostering saves lives. Precious Sophia got her first shots and vet visit today, Acadia Louisiana. She is up for adoption soon as she gets her vetting completed. 5 months old catahoula mix, just got pulled from shelter and has foster for now in Lafayette Louisiana, will be coming to Findlay OH.

He will be getting a heartworm treatment as soon as he lands in Cicero and a month's tx with doxycycline then fast kill. At his young tender age of a little over a year, he should do fine.

Incoming, in January, these 8 pups and 2 adults will be coming to foster homes in Indiana, TN and CT. I walked to the mailbox in the snow today and was pleasantly happy to see a donation which will be applied to getting them to safety. They are truly blessed to make it out of the kill shelters in Louisiana, but that is only the beginning of their journey. Prayers for safety, health, appropriate treatments if needed and that perfect home down the road somewhere. Any donation, $5 from every supporter would do the job for this may take 2 transports. Thank you in advance.

Gibbs has been adopted! He stayed in his foster home from April 2023 until now! He was waiting for just the right family to come along, and it looks like it's a great match! He is a great pup! Thanks Foster Valerie and the kind volunteers in Louisiana who pulled him out of a kill shelter just in time. Another life saved!

Rocket needs a foster home to get out of here, he has been here for at least 3 months. I talked to animal control today and watched a video of him, he has gained weight being confined in the kennel. He is super sweet awaiting freedom and passed the temperament test. udate, out in temporary foster in Lafayette Louisiana. Coming to a foster home near you, or you can be the one.

Roxy Roxy is ideal for a person or family looking for a friendly, young dog. She hasn’t experienced the trauma of being abandoned or living in a shelter. So she loves and trusts people. She is energetic and needs play time. At five months of age, Roxy is very trainable because she is eager to please, and responds well to treats. She already knows basic commands and plays fetch. Walks well on leash, wearing a harness. House-trained. Because she loves attention, she suffers from separation anxiety, so will do best in a household where she isn’t alone for long periods. Another doggy family member would be great. Roxy sleeps quietly through the night in a crate in our bedroom. Roxy has had her vaccines and is heartworm negative. She is unaltered, so we’ll be setting up her surgery appointment. She weighs 28 pounds and is still growing. Roxy comes from Louisiana. She was living with two young boys who loved her, but weren’t able to provide the food and other resources needed. Roxy is sweet and beautiful—truly a gem of a puppy. A wonderful addition to your household!

June in her foster home after being dumped in an animal shelter in NC and surviving a parvo outbreak and being locked down in the shelter. She went on to finding her forever home! This is how it works! Temporary you give of yourself and they find a home!
