Our Story
Back in 2017 we began Happy Tails Dog Walking and Pet Sitting and loved it, but after some ongoing health issues, have now had to pivot our direction a little. While we definitely miss all the gorgeous doggy sleep-overs and furry cuddles, we are now excited to launch Tail Rider dog booster seats.
We had decided to invest in a dog car seat for our cavoodle Maggie, to allow her to see out the car window and protect our seats from her sometimes muddy or wet little paws.
After searching the pet shops here in South Australia for a comfy and practical car seat for her, I thought I’d get creative and attempt to make her one myself. Maggie got many lovely comments on her little car seat seat and I began getting requests to make a few more for other small dogs we knew. Then, after many more months of trial and error, testing and revisions, Tail Rider Dog Booster Seats was born.
Our seats are made of high density foam and the interior is covered with water resistant canvas fabric in a variety of colours and patterns. They are designed to go in the back seat of the car and are held in place by the car seat belt. The cover is fully removable for washing and the seats come with an adjustable clip to attach your dog’s harness to the car seat belt.
