Now that Makani's teeth are all in, it's time to start the Formal Fetch training process! We're using reverse luring and, initially, a chin rest to teach the concept of holding an object to earn a reward.

Many dogs need more than a soft sofa to lounge on all day. From the start, it was clear that Arlo wanted to be a hunting dog. Since his owner wasn't interested in hunting at that time - don't worry, he wore her down - we trained him to hunt for choice edible mushrooms! How does your dog fulfill their instinctive behaviours?

Regular "happy visits" to the vet clinic are important for all puppies and don't have to take much time! Bebop loves to bring treats to his vet and do a quick weigh in!

Bebop and Jet both exhibited spatulate tongues while training today. We immediately stopped, watered them, and rested. Once we returned to the vehicle, we used voluntary head dunking to flush their eyes and rapidly cool them.

What a weekend! Bebop earned his HRC Started title and brought his daughter, Makani, to learn everything from road trip safety and hotel etiquette to manners in the hunting blind! Of course, Jet also tagged along to keep me safe by monitoring my blood glucose.
