Our head knitter, Barbara, liked to relax after a hectic work day by knitting. Mostly, she would knit baby blankets or scarves for friends and family. Then one day a friend asked her to knit a sweater for her Chihuahua. Always up for a new challenge, she said yes and started working on it. She had so much fun adding her own unique details to the design that she ended up making her friend's Chihuah
ua two sweaters! Enjoying that experience so much, she started to knit sweaters for her own pups. Once finished, she would post the pics to her page. Soon after she began receiving requests for dog sweaters from friends, family and work colleagues. Suddenly, a new business was born! Since beginning this business over a year ago, Barbara has inspired her daughter Kristin to start knitting the sweaters with her. Recently, Kristin had the idea of adding new items for pet owners to the shop. They tested the idea at a local indie craft fair and it was a hit! Now, Roxy & Lola offers cold weather accessories for pets AND their owners.
