After working as a family law attorney for almost a decade, Lesley decided to leave the practice of law to dedicate herself to animal welfare. She's long made treats for her dogs but with the addition of Stella, a Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd Dog mix, Lesley figured it was time to start a new job to keep Stella fed. :) As with all her dogs, Stella came from a rescue/shelter environment. All th
e treats Lesley makes are made with human grade ingredients sourced in the United States. Your human taste buds may not appreciate the flavor as much as your pup's taste buds do, but rest assured if it's not fit for human consumption, Lesley won't feed it to her dogs -- or yours. Lesley has experience caring for dogs, cats, fish, birds and other small animals (guinea pigs, mice, and rabbits, for example). She has been a volunteer at Dakin Humane Society since 2015 where she is a member of the K9 Elite team leaders. As a member of the K9 Elite, Lesley has received training in, not only handling happy-go-lucky dogs, but also those who are a bit more challenging to care for and interact with. Lesley has also worked as a dog walker and pet sitter since February 2016 before venturing out on her own. In addition to caring for the animals of others, she also is owned by three rescue dogs. Currently, one of her dogs is diabetic and receives twice daily insulin shots. In the past her pack has included a deaf dog, a blind dog, and a dog who developed cognitive dysfunction. Between her experience and her love for animals, she is equipped and ready to watch for your pet in your absence with the same love and care as you would.
