This cutie gal, Maisie, is still available for adoption! 🐶❤️

Maisie is roughly 2 years old, ~60lbs, and was found as a stray this summer. While we don't know too much about her past, we know that she is such a wonderful pup and will be a fantastic addition to anyone's family. 🏡✨

Her foster has described her energy levels to be medium to high, so we think that her being in a home that is active or has other pups to play with would be best (with a meet and greet first)! 🐕 She is a very smart girl and is continuing to learn how to walk better on her leash. When it comes to affection, you can find her face in the dictionary. She adores all the attention - kisses, cuddles, head pats - all of it!! 😘❤️🤗

In addition to loving humans, she has been doing very well on her puppy playdates. 🐾 She also is currently living with her foster's cats. She shows interest in them and likes to occasionally chase them, however, she is very respectful of their boundaries and knows when it’s time to stop playing 🐱. Lastly, Maisie's fosters have a 1-year-old in the home and have reported that she does well with him, but due to her energy, they recommend she will do best in a home with older kids 😊

As many of us are wrapping up our summer break, what better way to finish it than with a new friend? 🐾 Look no further because Duckie is here to help! 🌟

Miss Duckie is our 4-month-old calico kitten and is a playful bundle of love. 😻 She’s been fostered with her two siblings, thriving and getting along very well with them! 🐱🐱

She’s up to date on all her vaccines and preventatives, and she’s already spayed.

Our sweet girl Nala is still on the search for her forever home! 🏡💖

This cutie is roughly 2 years old and is a pittie/boxer mix who is full of love and has so much to share. 🐾 As a cuddle bug at heart, Nala is more than happy to spend her days snuggling in bed with her favorite people. 🛏️💕. When she’s not catching some Z’s 😴, she loves to let her goofy side shine! 😄🌟

Since being fostered, Nala has grown both in size and confidence! Thanks to her awesome fosters, she has put on some weight from being quite thin. That being said, she is still working on resource guarding but has been doing very well with both her fosters and other pups! 🐕🐩

Miss Nala has come so far this summer and we are so proud of her🌞🌟. From doing great at her first vet appointment to taking on all kinds of outside adventures, we are confident this girl will make a fantastic companion 🏞️❤️. Her fosters do recommend that she has at least one four-legged friend in the home to help her adjust to change. 🐾👫🐕

Meet miss Maisie!
Maisie is a sweet, gentle girl looking for her forever home! Maisie is about 2 years old, up to date on her vaccines, and spayed.
She can be shy at first but warms up quickly and loves her people ❤️ She has lived with cats and children and does well, although she will sometimes chase the cats. She is a good listener and will stop when you tell her no. She has gotten along well with the dogs she has met but she will need a meet and greet with future siblings. Maisie such a smart lady and knows sit and shake, and is working on her leash manners. She has so much love to give and cant wait to share it with you! 😍

Introducing Mofu! 🐱

Mofu is a 3 month old female kitten who is looking for her forever home! She was the tiniest of her siblings because her cat mom was thought to be rejecting her but that didn’t stop her from growing into the most playful and curious kitten! You’ll never catch her not jumping up and chasing her feather toys. Mofu also becomes a purring machine once she’s comfortable and loves some good pets before playing.

Mofu has done well with another kitten and dogs that aren’t overly excited. She would likely warm up to any cats and dogs in the house with good introductions. She would benefit from a feline sibling to play with but will also accept her new adopter as her playmate.

Unfortunately he has some neurologic deficits and needs a lot of medical care, which also means medical bills. He does have a foster with RCACP but any help is appreciated! 🎆🐾 Meet Nala, the most paw-some firework of all! 🎇
Nala is a 2 year old pittie mix.
She is a huge cuddle bug who loves her people and all the attention she can get. Nala's a true couch potato and LOVES her blankets to roll around in. She does amazing in a crate too! Nala's goofy personality will win you over along with her always wagging tail!
She had a rough start to her life and is working on gaining some weight in her amazing foster home. She can resource guard her food ( she is very food motivated) and toys a little from her experiences, but her foster says she's been doing great with her other dogs as long as they give her space when eating. Nala is still coming out of her shell and she cant wait to meet you!

Nala is spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations.
This Fourth of July consider giving this loving pup her independence in her forever home! 🏡❤️

“Roxie is a 3 and 1/2 year old heeler mix and about 35lbs. She has such a lovable personality and is really down to do anything as long as it’s with you. She’s the dog that you can take anywhere with you and never question how she will do. She loves the front passenger seat and does excellent in the car. She’s very food motivated and has a pretty good recall. She’s so smart and perfectly house trained and crate trained. She doesn’t eat things or tear anything up but will definitely make sure you feel bad for leaving her at home. Roxie will need to be in a home free of other dogs but that’s okay because she’s the only one you’ll ever need. It breaks my heart that we can’t keep her here with us but given her past we aren’t able to provide for her like we would want too with our other dogs here at home. Luna is still on the search for her forever home! We cannot believe this sweet girl has not been adopted yet or has had any applications! I mean look at her… she’s such a cutie. 🫶🐱

If you haven’t gotten to know Luna yet, she roughly 7 months old and is the perfect companion for someone who loves all aspects of what it means to be a cat. On one hand, she is full of love and adores the attention to anyone who may provide it. Moreover, she loves to play with her foster brother and all the toys she has! On the other hand, she is so perfectly independent and spends a large portion of her day adventuring. Whether it is around the nooks and crannies of your home to high up on her cat tree, she is very good at making the most of each day!

Miss Luna is currently up to date on all her vaccines and preventatives, as well as spayed!

Poppy is ready to hit the beach soon and is looking for a partner to soak up all the sunshine this summer! 😎🏖️

Our own little ball of sunshine, Poppy, is a ~3 year old Red Merle Heeler and is very much a cattle dog at heart. While enjoying an active life style, she loves to spend time outside and walks very well on a leash! She is very wonderful and beautiful gal!

We think that Poppy will thrive most in a home that can match her energetic self. Moreover, she may not do too well with cats, but has done very well with children previously! (Regardless, our foster coordinators organize meet and greets before any adoption!)

Poppy is spayed and currently up to date on all her vaccines and preventatives 🌸

We have several student fosters who will be leaving town for the summer and would love to have some new fosters to help out. A foster dog is a great way to get outside more! If you'd prefer to stay inside where its cool a foster cat is a great cuddle buddy!

“Moose is a 3-4 year old neutered male Alaskan Malamute looking for a new home!

He is a sweet, goofy, couch potato who prefers to spend most of his time outside. He is learning basic commands (sit, down, stay, come, place), is house broken, and crate and muzzle trained. He is okay for baths, nail trims, and brushings as long as you bribe him with good treats (especially cheese) and listen to his cues to stop. He is very anxious around new things and needs someone who is patient, can read his body language, and respects his boundaries. He does have very strong feelings towards bicycles and large trucks.
He does well on a leash/long lead (but is very strong) and in the house (he is nervous but well behaved). He would thrive in a home without any small animals (especially cats) or small children, but seems to be okay with other dogs! We will happily do a meet and greet with anyone interested!

He will go with his crate, collar and harness, toys, temp scan microchip, DNA breed/health panel, and muzzle

We have some VERY exciting news to announce!
After more than a year with AWFP, Boogie has found his forever home!! 🥳🥳🥳
Boogie has settled in so well in his new home and is reported to be quite the cuddle bug 💙 This boy is so special and we couldn’t be happier that he has found his people.

We also wanted to take some time to highlight Boogies amazing fosters Matt and Jamie! They dedicated so much time to Boogies care and training while he was with us. Most dogs in Boogies situation would have been euthanized in the shelter because they don’t have the time or resources to work on his behavior struggles. Matt and Jamie’s hard work, TLC, and commitment to Boogie got him to where he is today! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! 💗❤️💙💜💛💚

Our cuties, Ron and Luna, are still available for adoption and they are simply wonderful! Their foster shared with us the best videos of them for you all to get to know them and their personalities more 😻

Luna is a 6 month old kitten who is a little more reserved than her foster friend, Ron. Nonetheless, she is very loving - loving attention and all the pets. Like many cats, she is also very independent and enjoys spending time exploring, both on the floor and high up! In additional to hanging out with her humans, she really loves tunnels, laser toys, and cat towers. She is currently up to date on all her vaccines/preventatives as well as spayed!

Ron is a little over 1 year old and is sweetness in all aspects of his personality. He is more of a social boy who loves humans and adores the attention of anyone willing to give him some pets. If you are resting, he makes for the perfect lap cat. If you want to play, of course he wants to play too! If you have a playful cat that needs a companion, Ron will be perfect for you since he is a crazy playful cat himself. He is currently up to date on all his vaccines/preventatives as well as neutered!

Ginny is a ~4 month old orange tabby who is as sweet as can be. While very playful, she loves to relax and hang out with her humans. She adores affection and is happiest when she gets to shower someone with love 🥰
