To address a few common misconceptions:
"My bird is too old to learn how to fly." False. Thanks to our rehabilitation program, birds who are decades old are learning to fly safely!
"My bird was clipped so he'll never fly." Once again, our rehab process for non flighted birds includes steps and techniques that allow birds who have been clipped for years or even their whole life to take to the skies!
"Free flight is unsafe." Although free flight has some risks, they’re far fewer than the mental and physical harm caused by clipping or keeping a bird indoors all the time. Free flight training teaches birds to return safely to their owners, while clipping leaves them unable to escape danger, land safely, or navigate properly. Even clipped birds can still catch the wind and fly off.
