Texas Sporting Breed Rescue, Inc. (TSBR), is a State of Texas non-profit corporation.
It all started with a dream that we could see a no-kill society in our lifetime and that one of the biggest hunting and outdoor enthusiast states in the US would embrace its Sporting Breeds and support our efforts in saving them. Driven by these hopes and founded by a group of dedicated volunteers, we set out on the "Mission" of Texas Sporting Breed Rescue.

call us little piglets today…We’re pretty sure she needs glasses cause our mama says we are beautiful, regal, Golden prince and princesses.

Not everyone is pleased with whelping pen cleaning time. No milk train at your service, and having to navigate a different space for a bit gives some littles the opportunity to practice their crawl, grunts, and growls.
It’s seriously hard not to find his response to this plight both humorous and completely adorable.
Don’t worry he is all tucked in with mama now for sleepy-time. 💤

It Might Be Gloomy Outside…
but Our Futures are Bright!
Inside where it is safe, we are busy growing and reaching our milestones. Our mama is the very best. She has given her all to take care of us and that’s a lot! Our foster mommers says since her parents left her and our papa in dire straits she didn’t really come prepared for us. So they are doing all kinds of special things with the doctors in magical coats to keep her and us healthy and growing. It’s a good thing too because we eat a-lot!😛
Whew - could you imagine what our lives could have been like?

Good Morning Troopies!
Day 10 ~ We’re All In!
All in REALLY good shape that is. Everyone reached their Day 10 benchmark, even the littlest, and all hit or exceeded the 1lb mark. Many of them hitting or approaching the 1.5-2lb mark.
Everyones nose and eye leather has pigment now and they are working hard behind the seens for their next BIG reveal!

Whew!! This growing stuff is exhausting. Mom is constantly harping at us to be tidy, show up on time for the milk train, and share share be fair with our siblings. hmm
Well let me tell you ~ that is hard to do when Pegasus (lime) “miss fatty britches” who weighed 730g (25.75ounces) is always throwing her weight around like she owns the buffet.
I’m just the littlest and only weigh 444g (15.6ounces), so surely I deserve special mealtimes - I protest!
Anywho, we are all just doing our best. Mom says its time to go sleepy-time so she can get her own special attention 🙄🐾

Moon!
Moon is a handsome 2.5-3yr old Golden Retriever that joined TSBR with his best gal “Star”. He reluctantly gave up his puppy making privileges but we convinced him he would have so much more fun without them (wink wink).
Moon is busy putting on some weight and settling in at his foster but is fully vetted and will be available for adoption soon.

Nite Nite Troopies! Day 5 ✔️ A Day of Rest… Today we just hung out with our best mom Star and her human friend that likes to pick us up and touch her nose to ours. Our noses and paw pads are turning black and she says that’s pretty cool! Tomorrow we get weighed again and start more sensory stuff. Moms teats are full of milk but she has started taking little breaks when we nap - she thinks we don’t notice. Some of us like best when she lets us cuddle her face.
