Global Meat Shortage

Similarly, we’ve been trying our best to source for ingredients from different suppliers for the past few months. Our regular suppliers were not able to meet the demands. We had to absorb extra costs at the same time.

Unfortunately a handful of cats responded negatively to these new supplies, while most others took them on as per normal.

Be assured that we feed our own cats with the same batch of food. In fact, they are usually our trusted testers and quality controllers! 😸We will definitely not sell products which our own cats do not approve of.

With that, I hope paw parents will be more patient if your cats take time to adjust to the slight change in ingredients.

Yes, we are trying our best to maintain the integrity of our recipe despite the various shortages and price increase. Unfortunately, these are factors that we have no control over. 😿

Over the past few months, here’s the list of ingredients that faced supply issues.

✔️ Beef Heart (doubled in price, very limited availability)
✔️ Minced Beef (price increase)
✔️ Spleen (price increase)
✔️ Morton Lite Salt (out of stock in all Cold Storage, Giant, even on Redmart)

We apologise for the inconvenience and hope that these issues can soon be resolved. In the meantime, we will research and find alternatives to overcome these shortages as such.

✔️ Beef Heart to be replaced with Chicken Heart
✔️ Morton Lite Salt to be replaced with Morton Iodized Salt

Your cats might initially respond to these changes in the recipe. However be assured that careful attention has been taken to ensure the correct proportions of nutrients are maintained.

We will also be revising the price list which will take effect from 1st July 2021. We will update you in detail in the next post.
